BURNING MAN MOVIE NIGHT AT HOT HOUSE

Tuesday, May 17, 2005 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
The Hot House 31 E. Balbo, Chicago
312-362-9707 www.hothouse.net

Featuring the award-winning film:

NOTHING WITHOUT YOU
by Ted Mattison & Paul Kelleher

Naked in the desert, a lone man throws himself at the mercy of the
people at Burning Man: An extraordinary experiment in humanity.

Ted Mattison arrived at Burning Man in 2002 and started his theme
camp without any supplies including food and water. With some
trepidation, Ted walked naked down the Promenade to his
campsite, the intense 2:00 Sun beating down on him. He called
out to passers-by and with the help of the community gradually
began to meet his needs.

MOVIE NIGHT BACKGROUND: A few local Chicago burners have
been hosting an informal movie night over the past three years.
Each time we previewed a new video, charged a minimal cover
charge to cover costs and encouraged attendees to mingle and ask questions.

This year, we plan to improve the overall evening by increasing the
publicity, promotion and general production of the evening to
extend the attendance to a crowd larger then our immediate
network of fellow Burning Man attendees.

Our motivation is our passion for art and the festival therefore
should we net any income beyond our expenses, we want to
generously share these proceeds with causes that support creative
projects.
