large shelter

Post by rocnjbarr » Sun May 15, 2005 8:24 pm

I build a approx.50'x 50' shelter every year, it is large and akward and a lot of work. I open a free kitchen to all my nieghbors. Does anyone know of a large shelter 50x 50 or bigger that needs a home? or ideas to make one? I currently use portable garages and tarps. I would love to hear your ideas.

How did you have them set up before? How many people are in your camp? You could strategically position your vehicles as parts of your shelter. Might also want to research bent-PVC, rebar and shadecloth structures. Depends on your needs, of course. How much actual kitchen prep/serve room do you need, versus regular shade/chill/camp area?

After reading your post on the foodstuffs thread, it sound like you bring a panel truck or something....since you say you bring A REFRIGERATOR. With a little clever ropework and some conduit you can build right onto your rig, without causing damage if it's a rental.
