Intirior Decorating for the plya

Post by hunter S » Thu May 19, 2005 8:35 am

I have been amazed over the years by the creativity I see in decorating personal space. Last year on monday I happend to meet a very nice woman camped by herself, as she was preparing to leave, I noticed the incredible inviorment she had created in a small dome tent. I ask you to share your ideas, how do you create the artistry in your space? I.E. group effort, one camper takes the ball & runs, Hire the "Macy's" intirior' consultant ? Don't give a damm dust is devine ?

Grab anything and everything that you like dislike or otherwise. Get lights and throw it all together....something will happen....Ugly or not .....it will be cool and better than that ripstop nylon tent.....Go bravely where no decortator has gone before.....

Watch Christopher Lowell. Seriously, he used to build sets and he knows how to throw something together on a shoestring and no sewing.

Last year I shared a shade canopy with my next door neighbour and we just synergized the space into a celestial womb. I always pack a box of just decorations and it can be anything from mini-projects to faerie lights to silk garlands to...whatever. Just grab something that you know won't confetti and take it along.

Artistry? I'll be happy if my shade structure works. I've been looking in dumpsters and other places for useable stuff. I guess I'll start thinking about decoration once I get the basic plan tested. Ugh. So much work but so worth it. :D
It's what you make it.
