are rides easy to catch to and from the Reno airport? usually i attend at least 8 nights and 7 days, however this year will not allow it :cry:

The last time I flew in to Reno I was approached by three women at the airport, wanting rides up to Black Rock, and they had only just met each other AT the airport. I was a nice guy about it and happy to help, but I also refused gas money, which I probably shouldn't have, but fuck it... It was nice to have company for the ride up and fun seeing the puzzled looks on my campmate's faces as I, a married man, pulled up with three attractive women in tow.
To your question though, yeah, you can probably hitch a ride from the Reno airport to Black Rock. I saw a lot of Burners milling around the airport. We can usually spot each other, even without the dust.

I've met tons of people at the airport so yeah, it can be done. I've thought in the past that it would be cool if there was some kind of designated "meetup spot" at the airport so that people can find each other and share rides, rent cars together, etc. etc. Maybe I should organize that. One thing I'm going to TRY to do this year is swing by the airport to see who needs a ride in.
