Kundalini Yoga at Burningman?
Kundalini Yoga at Burningman?
HEY BURNERS!
I am a teacher of kundalini yoga, and I am looking to connect with spiritual or healing camps big enough to host classes. I am also interested to know if any yoga camps are having a dauly sadhana [morning apiritual practice, usually around 4 a.m.] too.
I am also availablet to teach individual camps - so if your village would like to book me for some classes, let me know.
All classes operate on the principle of exchange to maintain the integrity and respect of the teachings. Since we don't have money at Burningman, anything donated is fine. :)
I think that's all for now.

Get in touch with the HeeBeeGeeBee Healers, it seemed like they had a yoga class going pretty much all the time.
There is nothing to stop you from putting out a sign in front of your tent, "Kundalini Yoga in 1/2 and Hour" or some such; although you might want to give some thought to infrastructure for dust abatement. The HBGB Healers use rugs and a tent and it worked OK. Also I saw another guy that had installed a platform about 18 inches above the playa and that seemed to have helped a little bit. he did do a lot of sweeping.
Center Camp at sunrise usually has a place where interested people could gather if you wanted to offer that, but that doesn't have the same air of radical self-reliance.
Namaste

Since we don't have money at Burningman, seems to me you have lost all integrity by requiring a donation in exchange for your services.
IMHO
I express my excitement by brutally interrogating whomever is nearby
Clearly, he meant non-monetary donations. Personally, I think that REQUIRING donations does run sort of contrary to the spirit of Burning Man, but whatever. You could view it as a form of barter, but then again I'm not particularly thrilled with barter in BRC either. I don't like it, but I'm not going to get all worked up about it like some people do, either.

Iso, don't tell me you assume the postions!? Do I read you correctly in that you will not be offering any "donations"?
Buckethead, Buckethead you are like an Alien
Buckethead, Buckethead your head is like a dish
Buckethead, Buckethead sometimes you wear the Maybelline
Buckethead, Buckethead sometimes you're full of fish

Its like saying tips at Center Camp are a form of darshan for the coffee slingers.
As for 'donations' pfffft!! Fuck that. Reading it maks my satva itch - if you know what I mean.
I might consider tossing our yoga meister here a warm Budwesier if s/he can do their yoga schtick while wearing bad drag of my choosing.

I think those on certain mind alterning substanses at BM have already awakened their chakras. A teacher of this may just confuse them.

Groovig
Hey Binah,
You might want to try and contact the Groovig camp. I taught some dance classes there last year and my friend taught a yoga class. Erika was the contact person. Good Luck!!

I would not even try. Honestly, I would bow to a person who could succintly define the spirit of burning man. The only things I've seen that have even come close have been big sweeping essays of hundreds of words.blyslv wrote:Define please. We'll both be right.
Now piss off and stop trying to pick a fight with me, please

Here's my stab:
Learn something, share something, keep your shit together and leave a better person. If you can't do that, at least leave alive.
And if somebody tells you it was better last year, pee on their head.
Oh, wait...better strike that last part.
