What ever dark beer you can find in the cooler will do me,...

I'd have you take off your pants if you were wearing any, it has to be hell to get a monkey into pants in the first place

I'm doing a lot better adjusting to it, Had my first day by myself today and nothing blew up or flew apart, so it was a good day.

Yea, a few people have been there. The land is mostly woody or wetlands. There are a couple of open spaces though. One of which we are all camping on. I don't know, sounds a lot like my parent's backyard.

At least it's early enough that it would take 4 or 5 mosquitoes to carry you off, in a few more week when they're full sized it will only take 2.

I actually really haven't seen any mosquitoes yet. I'm more worried about wood ticks. Found one on me the other day while I set up my new tent.

(Black cat walks in and finds the place empty on this Sunday afternoon.)

Hmmm...

(Digging cooler... ice flying out behind him)

Aha!!! A left over Redhook!!
*pop*

Well, monkey... as luck would have it, there seems to be a wind that is blowing me somewhat south-eastwardly. Perhaps my broom will land within that cove and I’ll see you there. One never knows what might arise when in those magic hills.

Be back later!!

Hi Y'all... um... where's everyone???

(Unoads 2 cases of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and a case of Guiness from her hand truck and sets it in the cooler...)

On a Sunday Night?? Wow. I knew the article in the San Fran Chronicle would have an effect, but not *this*!!

(Checks lanterns, tops off low ones and lights up the place...)

Wow... (calling out) Hey Sputnik, you still here??

Figures... holiday weekend and everyone's out playing!!

Big front page thing in the San Francisco Chronicle, and a double page near the back of the front section... Their web is SFGate.com... In fact, since you're here, you can see for yourself - - the link is http://www.sfgate.com/chronicle/ and it shows up on the front page - a picture of his Larryness and everything.

Can I get you a beverage whilst you're perusing?? Mayhaps a Patron Silver with a Guiness back??

Here ya be...

(Pours 3 or 4 fingers of Patron in the double old fashioned glass, and pulls a fresh Guiness - Not iced over, but well chilled)

How's your weekend so far? I just remodeled the laundry room, and am working on my campout kitchen - cutting board surface, sink, 20K burner (and the coleman cofee pot warmer), and reach-in cooler access... In fact, am going out to the store to see if they have any ribs for the babrbecue...

And this was supposed to be a vacation?? >>grins<<

What scares me (I told Heli this earlier) is that with all this publicity BRC is gonna approach 60K this year. People start thinking they can do this thing, and we'll all be overrun with tourists!!! They're talking about running a weekly special until the burn - yiiiiiii!!!!

The weekend has been a bummer. I have a cat whose kidneys have failed and we're on death watch. I suspect that if she's still with us on Tuesday that we'll have her euthanized. She isn't doing anything but laying on the floor right now. Can't move or anything. Very pathetic.

Do you really think 60K is a reasonable number? That would suck. And it would be a huge jump over last year. Time will tell I suppose.

speaking of the size of the city...I posted a graph I made in another thread a while ago. The event has been seeing roughly linear growth, so this kind of jump would be unprecedented. However, so is weekly media attention:

There is something wrong with that graph....I think I'll fix it. Watch that space for a corrected version.
