Kernul-you are such a tease....now you know how we felt a week ago!!!
Mullet Hunter-can you email the web dude and get the Macromedia file so we can put it on a laptop for projektion if all works out? We can probably embed it into a PowerPoint file which will contain other files like .avi, the various posters everyone has created, other kool videos, etc.
Also, we need to capture that last few minutes of Dr. Strangelove so we can choreograph some mushroom clouds....

who to the what where? i should inform you, that as a superspy i have many skills, but compruders isn't one of them. i just like to look at the flashing lights and pretty colours (and the porn of course). also, the computer i'm using right now is korean, which makes things much more confusing. but... i found the website of the artist;
http://www.yhchang.com/
maybe someone who's literate in those kind of things could take over that. i'll just stick to being your agent in east asia, kay?

If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

Hunter De Mullet:
I got the file...its on my computer and ready for unauthorized presentation.
I must state for the record that "The Apokiliptika Marine Corps Do NOT Endorse the Objectification of Women"...however, if you must, visit:

Regards, Major Roosevelt

hmmmm... interesting, but not really my cup of tea.... you see, i should inform you that i am a female superspy (which is definitely the more dangerous kind), so i'm more into the objectification of men.drakewayson wrote:I must state for the record that "The Apokiliptika Marine Corps Do NOT Endorse the Objectification of Women"...however, if you must, visit:

Playa Dust Soup
A good time to point to this again:
http://www.ebaumsworld.com/flash/dac.html
Hey, do you think we could get a bunch of stock Korean footage and karaoke and such and put our own subtitles to it? Like singing the praises of how the Kernul's Playa dust soup makes you cry because it was SENT BY GOD!

Duck and Cover captured by "Flash Catcher"....(it's pleasingly large when played by itself instead of in a window). Now we have that and the "Korean Cunnilingus" files should we wish to present them in some fashion.

Also, as self appointed sub-leader of the Apokiliptika Marine Corps, Major Roosevelt feels it is necessary to point out that while we do not ENDORSE the objectification of women, most of us do actually objectify, stare, drool and generally act like idiots around them.helitack wrote:I don't mind being objectified, really, or interrogated. I actually crave it. Jeebus are we gonna have fun. heli

I've got a rare VHS copy of Voyage into Space, starring Johnny Sokko and his Giant Robot. Any chance we can digitize it? It's one of the Kernul's fave's too and it will give us a chance to get a better copy of the theme music.

Yes, a fav... I am particularly enchanted by Emperor Gargoyle. The whole Janapese Nazi blend is so fab....
This imaging thing has such ghastly wonderful potential. But, my minions, we must somehow make all these lovely bits fit into a harmonious crash. Radio, music, visual, propaganda, art, scuplture... shit.
We will either be fools or gods.
Take your pick.
The Kernul has spoken.

How about no audio with the video? Just subtitles? Makes it more attractive as an art performance and less like being around a big TV.

All
Silent, interesting videos playing above the fray will most definitely enhance the feeling of the Kamp.
I agree that unless this is a drive in movie theater, more audio would just be more distraction.
Most of the visuals found by Kamp members thus far have only really had music mixed with them rather than the audio being required to understand or follow the video. Check out the Kool links to videos in the tribe.net thread on Projektion.

the various media become more powerful when they are integrated and working to the same end. (propelling the same message)
No reason to not have it both ways. The silent "trailer" kind of stuff can warm up for the "talkie" feature(s) (for which I will be *thrilled* to distribute audio, by the way.)
Don't ignore the value of the adrenaline rush to be had from the elegant on-the-fly synchronization of the two program schedules for the nightly matinee performance. A couple of people can get high on this every night.
Don't cheat the multi-media performance rush!!

That oughta really piss off the FCC....

Yikes. You really know how to test my resolve, don't you?
But Actually, since "community standards" are what the FCC claims to go by, I'm going to guess that *content* complaints are not something we'll have to worry about.

Badger-
Good to hear from you.
Yes, the best gods were always the ones who were foolish. This is precisely the problem with all the modern gods, who took up the silly notion around 700 years back, of always being right.
Well, this takes all the fun out of being omnipotent does it not? Now Zeus, there was a real party god. These dudes could marry their sisters and screw their moms without some how figuring it out until later. Could an all knowing being make those screw ups? Hard-LY! But that's what made them such great cut ups. You could actually say- "Zeus, you fucked up" and it was ok.
Try that with me though, and I'll feed you to the playa crocs.
