Bambino where are you in our hour of need? I'll just fall asleep on this couch.....once had to push a wolf off the couch in the Talkeetna airport so I could get a good night's sleep...... The tavern there is where president Harding is said to have contracted "food poisoning" .......near the "High One"

Well,

I'm planning to go down to LA to welcome the AIDS Life/Cycle into town. It turns out that is LA pride weekend. Personally I think the LA pride sucks (too much advertising, too little politics), but it was the first pride I ever went to back in 1993 when I was 16 (egads!) So at least for the purpose of nostalgia it'll be a fun trip.

As for the SF pride, well, I live three blocks from where the parade route ends on market, so it's just a matter of rolling out of bed early enough to be there. I really truelly love the SF pride, it's still got some of that political edge, and it still feels like a celebration of our common differences.

I GET TO RIDE WITH THE WMC THIS YEAR FOR SF PRIDE!!!!!!!!!

(Assuming, that is, that the test-ride with the friend who invited me goes well enough - she's only been carrying passengers on her bike for a year or so, and the last time I rode pillion with anyone was 100+ pounds ago....)

WMC=Women's Motorcycle Contingent, includes Dykes on Bykes.

Well, look for us Koosh, we'll be strewn along the route in our "fashionable" blue med shirts! Catch us in the festival area afterwards, if you stay long. (Dang, I hope it's not too hot this year.)
