Not quite yet. I haven't had a lot of extra time. Though I've got plenty of ideas floating around in this big head of mine.
Hey, you missed a good meeting last night. A couple new people showed up. It was fun, you should really come out for the next get together. I think next time we are going to try and do something besides just getting coffee.

Oh my day was just peachy, thanks. And you, Ms. Barkeep?
Oh My... I’m no great fan of margaritas for whatever reason... but blackberry? Oh, you say “berry” and you’ve got my attention.and there's fresh blackberry margarita's in the blender.
I’m just gonna go to sleep under this Never Ending Blanket for a bit. Long day today and long day tomorrow. But soon... very soon, we’ll all be packing to head to the desert.
Ahhhh...
(Snuggles up with blackberry margarita in a sippy cup, so as not to spill if he should fall asleep of course)

Did I hear someone mention Blackberry margaritas?
I can't think of much that Blackberries don't go with.
OK... Maybe Liver. Maybe.
But back to reality, That just sounds way too yummy. I was thinking of freezing up a passel of strawberries to keep on dry ice for Strawberry 'ritas, but that might get changed. Gonna have to ask the central committee...

mmmm.....last year i froze a bag of blackberries and just kept them in my cooler with fresh ice every day (it helped that almost everything in my cooler was frozen solid to start with). i had chilly berries for 'ritas on Thursday!

Oh... Darn!!
All the talk about blackberrys made me forget...
(reaches under her black-n-blue cape, mumbles some incantation or the other under her breath, and pulls a stack of incongruous-looking gold boxes from some hidden recess...)
Got some extras during my playa shopping this afternoon... anyone for a Patron? Just the thing to go with fresh blackberries and ice! >>grins<<

Oh jeez...
That blackberry stuff was good, but sure does make the fur sticky.
(Gets up, makes coffee)
frozen berries, eh? Sounds like an idea. I was thinking just now of making a smaller, more portable version of my super-coolers for keeping such things as berries and ice cream.
Hmmm...
Howdy Danger... and welcome, even though you’re gone now.
I was told the other day about another way of taking strawberries to the playa and that was to pack them into a mason jar and pour in vodka or something similar. I’m not much of a vodka drinker, but this sounds interesting. Anybody ever done it? I’ve got an abundance of strawberries to make use of.

I freeze raspberries all summer. Pick the berries, wash them and pat dry, then freeze in a single layer on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper. When they're frozen solid, scoop them into disposable containers and put in the deep freeze. Choose smaller containers so there's no leftovers to shove back into the cooler rather than a larger container which invites contamination. When transporting them to the playa, double bag the container to avoid juicy red cooler water. Very yummy with the most excellent vegan pancakes our neighbors serve. Never had enough left to make it to the drink stage.
Berries packed in vodka do nicely, be sure to leave room for expansion if you're traveling from sea level. Preserved berries in liquer are nice also but involve more preparation than a simple infusion. Do a taste test batch first to see if you prefer the berry infusion sweetened.
Rum, ginger and apricots, now there's a yummy combo.

How long was I passed out back there?
Good to see this place is still around. Been many moons since I last spent a majority of my day in here.

update from the land of corn
hi all....
z, the corn is a foot tall.
the teenagers survived the school year, the 15 year old promoted to Freshman... and he is way full of himself. he'll be detassling corn later this summer.
the 17 year old is working at Dairy Queen, wonders never cease.
he's attending summer school as well, catching up on some math which he hasnt' done so well previously.
i am still awaiting my pay raise due to mynew work responsibilities... the A/C for the house ceased to function properly, so that is another expense not planned... but we'll be alright.
the spouse is making money re-selling clothing on e-bay, the world's largest garage sale.
otherwise, life is grand.
and i don't think cindy and i will be making burning man this year.
and that sucks, 'cause i'd like to see a few sunrises/sunsets on the desert.
yet, i do have memories of them
