Okay. Almost cancelled ttitd this year when the mrFishist relapsed on the smoking yesterday. Taking my birthday off for the first time in at least a year (I think two.) will be harried by volenteering at pride this weekend, but at least I can look for queer travel and freebee pens and sarongs whilst protecting the participant from themselves. It's too hot here, can't wait for the summer fog.

How's by you?

Pretty good. I had a house full of people from the other board yesterday, which was absolutely lovely. And I found 8 antique axes that I'm going to use in my playa art project. It's coming together at last, which is fabulous.

I'm ready to be outside in the sun though. It's gorgeous out there.

Yum. Iloved the introduction to "The Same Axe Twice" but never read the book.

Yes it did! People have a way of meeting each other off playa too, you know. I wouldn't discount the possibility of it happening. And if you have a chance, do jump at it.

I'll try to get a digipic of the axes (my hard drive is currently dead...). They have these wonderful hand hewn handles. They're a little rusty and pretty dirty; the wood is darkened with age and use. I'm so excited about them! Who knew I'd be doing axe art?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to grind down the blades. They aren't super sharp, and it will be lit, but I can imagine some junked up hippie walking straight into one. Maybe I should mount it with a video cam. Or does this fall under Ready Your Fucking Ticket?

I just got word that someone walked into the courthouse (a few blocks from here) with a grenade. Bomb squads are going in to inspect the backpack now. No EMT service until the bomb squad is through...

I;m not actually a read the ticket partisan--there's something about legalese that bores me stiff. I know if you're actually working with an axe they are more dangerous not sharp than sharp. Don't know how that translates to falling onto one. Then you might slip off and not hurt yourself, by that logic. You have a better sence of how it's gonna look and where it might be. But we all know that even if you putt little velvet ropes around it, they would be violated.

Yeah, but I don't know if I'll have money and leave--much less cred--for the PJ party, and if I don't go, I'll drift away from the site after a while and chances will lesson. Oh well. Pretty stupid to keep doing something that I have mixed feelings about indefinately.

Well, I suspect that 4 of the heads will sit at foot level. Four might be around (my) head level. But I may point those ones inward for the sake of shape... a lot depends on how I choose to fasten and secure it all. It will definitely need to be guyed with cables, methinks.

I have solar lights. If no one fucks with the lights, then i would kind of like to leave it as is... I mean, if your eyes are open it is hypothetically safe, unless it keels over. And then hell, what were you doing napping under an axem anyway? It's the whole LCD argument, again.

Fish, they're your decisions to make, though I think your presence would be quite welcome by many, many people. Email me off board(s) if you want to talk about it more... btw, TOB is back up and running.

That raises the question " who's responsible for cleaning up the blood and other moop created when a blitzed out cyclist hit's Rians sculpture going like a bat out of hell just before first light when the solar lights are fading?" ------course somebody like that probably wouldn't see it at mid- day either.--------

Well, transfer it into a city.. make it a phone pole...

I say that since the thing would be visible in the dark, and since a cyclist is a dumbass if they plow into a visible stationary object, it's probably their moop to clean.

At any rate, the lights should have many hours of charge in them. NTS: Check charge on solar lights....

RobbiDobbs wanders in with an ancient laptop. She parks on the Dusty Couch, cracks open the computer, and mumbles something about "focusing".

Could someone beer me? This is my last one, and I need to edit the FUCK out of the pottie signs. Tedious work, but it must be done.

Sorry Robbi, we're all out of beer here.

I never learned how to submit ideas for your signs, but I really want to see

You must be at least this tall to ride

That's ok, Genius. I'm only half way thru my second one, and slowing down already.
I have 36 brief signs, and would like a bunch more that are 20 words or less. The fastest way to get them turned into signs is to post them just about anywhere on the board.

Good to hear from ya, Genius. Keep the Nasaran's nervous.

I need to go to bed soon. Good night.

It sucks, the only thing to drink in my place is wine, and I can't justify opening a bottle for myself alone. The missus has gone to bed already.

I believe that the rule is that one should drink only when alone or accompanied.

Sure, I'd take one of those. Too bad I can't find one that's composed of protons and neutrons, too.

Ummm, limewire. Don't know if you can find them to buy anywhere, Rhapsody didn't have them, or I'd have purchased them legitimately.
