Theme camps can get in early to setup, they just have to clear it ahead of time. In fact, we have to be setup by Monday, so that's why we're starting so early.
It's going to be alright.

hmmm... *fumbles around n finds some lemonade in his pack... fumbles some more and finds some absolute behind the bar... splish splash tumble twirl*

There ya go!

Well, I got my drill press and jigs made this weekend so I can move on to drilling bending and assembling the dome. I also found a source for 8oz duck canvas for about 15 1/2 cents a square foot, which i can sew up with my g'mas sewing machine so I'm in like flinn as far as the dome is concerned. Hmm, my mom went back to work after her hip replacement surgery last week and my father took a much needed vacation with out her... kinda funny. Other than that I'm just going through the motions... Oh my dad is gonna sell me his truck, woot!

Suprisingly that's not the first time I've see that picture. Please excuse any spelling mistakes, I've had a few to drink.

So, Mr. Genius haven't seen you in awhile. What's going on?

"In like Flynn" is one of those phrases the etymological origins of which are untraceable. Apparently it's just because it rhymes, but it doesn't really mean anything.

Haven't found my kitty. Very distressing. We've had her since I was 18.

Here's something for your noodle, since you sent me off on the google run...
Reference books almost universally assert that this set phrase, an American expression meaning to be successful emphatically or quickly, especially in regard to sexual seduction, refers to the Australian-born actor Errol Flynn. His drinking, drug-taking and sexual exploits were renowned, even for Hollywood, but the phrase is said to have been coined following his acquittal in February 1943 for the statutory rape of a teenage girl. This seems to be supported by the date of the first example recorded, in American Speech in December 1946, which cited a 1945 use in the sense of something being done easily.

The trouble with this explanation is that examples of obviously related expressions have now turned up from dates before Flynn’s trial. Barry Popik of the American Dialect Society found an example from 1940, as well as this from the sports section of the San Francisco Examiner of 8 February 1942: “Answer these questions correctly and your name is Flynn, meaning you’re in, provided you have two left feet and the written consent of your parents”. To judge from a newspaper reference he turned up from early 1943, the phrase could by then also be shortened to I’m Flynn, meaning “I’m in”.

It’s suggested by some writers that the phrase really originated with another Flynn, Edward J Flynn—“Boss” Flynn—a campaign manager for the Democratic party during FDR’s presidency. Flynn’s machine in the South Bronx in New York was so successful at winning elections that his candidates seemed to get into office automatically.

The existence of the examples found by Mr Popik certainly suggest the expression was at first unconnected with Errol Flynn, but that it shifted its association when he became such a notorious figure. Since then, it has altered again, because in 1967 a film, In Like Flint, a spy spoof starring James Coburn, took its title by wordplay from the older expression, and in turn caused many people to think that the phrase was really in like Flint.

Oh, I didn't know your kitty was missing. I'm sorry, that sucks. I hope you find him/her. My kitty is very sick right now. We first got her when I was ten. I don't know if she will get any better. It makes my heart hurt.

Tell me something I don't know, Elem. (insert emoticon here)

I read that, blue. Sorry about that. I understand how it is when a cat is a member of the family, not just a pet.

I let my wife get a new kitty to make herself feel better. Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivruski IV.

that was more or less the rundown I got when I went on a hunt for "In Like Flynn."

I often wonder where things like that come from. Once curiosity about it strikes me, I can't rest until I find out. when there's no answer, I get pretty irritated, like with "in like flynn" and "the whole nine yards."

To become a ranger, you go to BM at least once, read through all the stuff on our website, go to a ranger training, and submit yourself to the mentoring process to see if you're cut out for it, and it for you.

As far as what we do, all kinds of things. The official line is that we're non-confrontational mediators committed to the safety and quality of the participant experience.

Opps, sorry I kind of disappeared there. But I had to make a phone call.

It was lovely seeing you two but I'm afraid I must be off. It's about four o'clock and my bed is calling.

Good night.

nite blue!

interesting reading, I don't have any set participation plans of any kind. outside of this temple I'm bring in memory of a friend. Not that I plan to be a spectator, rather i plan to find my avenue of participation on the playa. The Alt. Energy folks and some of the other groups look interesting, but i'll reserve and desicions until I've experienced at least one burn with out any "responsabilities." I'm sure I'll find something to get more involved in, I tend to be that way...

well, of for a smoke for me... be back in 15 or so...
