I am always breaking drill bits! It always happens just towards the end of my project and then you have to find another bit. Are you using any cutting oil to drill your struts?

*tips his drink*
well, I'm currently in Oklahoma, where it's 88F/59% hum, and this is a nice damn day for july...

*tips his drink*
we break 100 and have 60+ humidity regularly and in this part of the country the humidity is a killer...

*tips his drink*
maybe not as bad a LA (the state) but I've been all over the US and this is some of the greasiest humidty to be had...

*tips his drink, looses his balance and falls over*

heh

Well, I have to drill the struts and bend the ends. Then spray paint the ends pretty colors! I have some Blue and red spray paint around here to use.

I smashed all my strut ends over the weekend. My arm was a bit sore, but not as bad as I thought it would be.

I have this little doo-dad that my Dad had that you can put your hand drill in and make it into a little drill press. I'm not sure how it'll work yet since I haven't tried it yet.

For the covering I am thinking about silver tarps. Although, I'd love to see if the local billboard place has any signs they'd give away.

nope, I"m not joel, don't know any either, but if I do meet one I'll be like "OMG ARE YOUR MARTIANS UNCLE?!?!?!?!" just to freak em out a little, hahaha

You didn't use a hammer did you? My suggestion for the drill would be to either get a bit sharpener or a bunch of bits, and make a jig, jigs are B E A utiful things...

Ah surely did use a 5 pound mini sledge and an anvil to smush those dang strut ends! HA! Took me about 4 or 5 hours total with many breaks.

1/2" drillbits, check...*adds that to her maynerd's shopping list*

What're you using for a covering, Elemental?

Hey...Mr. Ornery what would you like to drink? Wanna try one of my frappacinos with Kahlua? They're not too bad.
