I expect that once again it will be held in the traditional camp--Barbie Death Camp and Wine Bistro (a part of Whhheee!ville) at 6:00 pm on Thursday.

Seriously, tho... (Wait a minute, am I ever serious??)... I'm working the on-call Weds and then blacked out Thurs, and don't have to be back 'till 9 am on Friday, so... Hmmm... unless I'm passed out on the floor of the Kantina (in which case someone better wake my butt up and sling me to the back of an art car and drag me there) I'll be there...

It was part of the reason I bid on those specific shifts.

Tho passing out at Apokiliptika might be fun. Dangerous, but fun. OK... Dangerous. >>giggles<<

There'll be a big white cabin cruiser moored out in front of Barbie Death Camp again this year at meet/n/grope (or whatever...) time. There will be margaritas. As usual. So I guess we'll see you there...

Although we are a modest two person camp, anyone is welcome to stop by. We are bedouin camp (although reality has recently scalled down our grandeous ideas). We hope to make it to somewhere in the 4-5 o'clock avenues.

I hope to meet you all at the meet and greet with a cold bottle of good rosé in my hand.

PS Do you think it's possible to put together somekind of loose party schedule as I always leave feeling that I've missed an opportunity because I was unorganized. Perhaps wine and cheese at our place (capacity 20 people) Saturday 7:30.

You CAN plan a party or activity schedule... but when you get out there, everything reverts to "Playa Time".
To convert a standard clock to one that reads Playa Time directly, just add playa dust to the workings of it until it no longer works...

And yeah, unless something else happens, I'll be there too. With Finnish liquorice-hot-candy-booze-thingy I am sure you will all love.

For a second, for this year, I planned on making a playa calendar - you know, a little schedule thing to write down all invitations and planned events and stuff I wanted to see, to keep with me so I would not miss anything. Then I re-thought it a bit and realized how extremely bad idea it was, and how it would spoil half the fun for me.

Of course, that should not stop anyone from saying "wine and cheese at our place Saturday at sundown". To invite and offer, and to make strict schedules, are two different things. You can be in your place at the arranged time, and if no one from eplaya shows up because they are otherwise engaged, I am sure that won't spoil the party... In my experience, it is not difficult to find nice people to share your food and wine on the playa. :)

(I am going to take a blank notebook and pencil, though, for contact addresses and random poetry.)

I'll be living around the 9:00 medical outpost, but by 6pm I'm either going to be taking the afternoon off from Poop Patrol, or will be dealing with some FUBAR emergency (like last year).

I'll probably be driving around in my red toyota DPW-stickered truck. So I don't necessarily need a ride there, just a BIG HINT (something like: "Hey Robbi! Get yer distracted dum-ass over to the Meet & Greet !!!!!!!!!)
that I need to get myself over there. I won't need a ride back, my bed's in the back of it.

So who's puting together the Long Island Ice Teas? Now there's a drink to pass out on.

I am hoping to rig a wearable dry ice cooler, and that I have extra on Thursday (I try to manage it so it lasts the 2 weeks I'm there, allowing for "boil off" and special projects), as I have this brownish liquid in a green bottle with a stag and cross on the label that warns me to "SERVE ICE COLD" set aside *just* for the evening... Just the thing with a nice Reisling...

Now if I can rig that buttpack so I can wear it without giving me frostbite burns... >>grins<<
