Finally got to that Meat Product With Pineapple....disturbingly NOT nasty. (Not that it was GOOD, exactly.) Another secret love- those nasty little hams that look like they're packed in Cosmolene. Good chunked up in salads, or diced and added to beans.
I just picked up a Lil' Chief Smoker at a yard sale....God knows what I'll be handing out on-playa because of THAT lil' gem. I don't think it'll take a jerking, but I wonder how SMOKED SPAM would be.....

Depends on the marinade.

I wonder if we still have that fondue pot around here?
Oh, yeah! Much digging around in boxes in the basement has resulted in me finding the long hidden Fondue Set!! It has awaited the Playa!

Anyone else in for Fondue night?

I love fondue. It sounds like a very good idea--a completely frivolous gor-met experience in the rough, plumbingless desert...

I've done manifold cooking, it works! Tasty too, nice to have a hot meal when you stop to camp for the evening. Hint: heavy duty foil, lots of it.
