Greetings!
So I am gonna bust my ass this year and build a 10" Radius 3V dome. I'm going to get all of the supplies next week. However, I wanted to put a request out to the community to see if anyone who has done this before and had the space and tools would be willing to let me spend a few hours in their workshop (or workplace) to flatten conduit ends and drill bolt holes. I would have all of the pieces cut and ready to go, I just need someone with a decent arbor or hydraulic press and a drill press and drill. I'd buy my own bits. Clamps, jigs, etc are also helpful. I'd do all the work (though I'd appreciate any tips and tricks if you've done this before.) I'd be willing to kick down some booze, cash, trade, playa help, good company, laughs, or whatever seems appropriate. I live in the east bay, but can drive anywhere in the bay area. I work during the day, but can do weekends or evenings and would obviously try and minimize any inconvenience. Please send me a message if you are so inclined to help out a fellow burner.

Re: Dome Building resources
I suggest Pixie Sticks for struts, since most drinking straws are too thin and toothpicks too pointy. You should be able to craft a covering from a stardard handkerchief, but be sure to cut some wind-relief vents. Make it brightly colored, since a 10" rad dome is likely to be crushed underfoot by a careless spectator.shadowboxer wrote:Greetings!
