I dunno...I have to think about that one.

...do whatever first pops into my mind at the time?
...whip off my shirt?
...drink more beer?
...sing a potty-carol?

This year I vow to:
1: Fully support and assist the "Unholy Alliance"
2: Leave my expectations somewhere along Jungo Road.
3: Have fun on the trip out and back, not just in BRC.
4: Avoid certain vexing characters who would love to spoil my experience. (especially some wearing khakis)
5: Leave my satellite phone OFF for the duration of the event.
6: Volunteer on things that push my comfort level a bit.
7: Be a lamplighter again. What a great group to volunteer with.

This year I vow.... To ACTUALLY FUCKIN GO TO BRC. I have had the worst past 4-5 years of my life and starting to beleive that nothing good is going to come of it. In the past few years I have had relatives die, family member severly physicaly hurt, little sisters fuckin their lives up, and not dating my ex girlfriend of 4 years, but still living with her has all put a tremendous amount of stress on my shoulders to the point where I just dont think I can be happy again. I mean not giggle in the moment of a joke happy, but truly happy. Bah need to get a ride first....

Personally I prefer 35ml, but take digital with me since its what I have handy. With extra charged batteries and memory cards. So far the dust has yet to wangle its way into the mechanics of the camera.

If you are looking for a place to hide the film...well, you could always try what smugglers do to get drugs across borders ;o)

keester it? uuuh let me think

no

lol, it seems i end up leaving my film lying around camp on the tables or something. it always walks away. well, once it was (IMO) stolen by a bad campmate.

i'm going to have to find a spot in camp to put each and every roll into as soon as i use it. quietly, secretly. AND maybe take the digital as well. i happen to have an extra battery and two of those digital card thingys with extra memory.

leaving behind all expectations is a wise idea.

I keep a small "dry" cooler in the Jeep just for film, batteries and medicines. I have one ziplock labeled "new film" and one labeled "used film." Then I turn them in to the camera place when I get home and forget them there for months on end.

I shoot film. I keep all my rolls in a small "picnic" size cooler- the kind the hold slightly more than a six pack. I don't put any ice in it, but I keep it in the shade. Used rolls go in there as soon as I get back to camp, new rolls stay there unless I'm actually carrying them on me. It's worked so far.

Don't forget to put the camera down and go play without it.

Do not assume true happiness is impossible until you experience your first burn. Free your unhappy mind, your unhappy ass will follow. But first...wokkawokkawokka....are you experienced?

Having said that, I ran into my "ex-gf of 4 years" at a pre-Burn event. Strange. No longer giving a fuck is highly liberating.

Miss Iso, I was not even thinking of you. I was thinking of the psychic girl who said she was possessed by the devil and kept annoying a lot of people in Center Camp and out past gASSo on the Esplanade last year.

But since you spoke up...we didn't like each other last year and we were able to co-exist on the playa, this year shouldn't be any different.

From what I read between the threads on Iso (Badger), I take it that
Iso, you and Kinetic don't get along? :D Maybe you both could vow to leave your difference on the playa this year and coexist on the boards?

If I was going, I would vow NEVER TO GET PREGNANT AGAIN! I found out that my high risk pregnancy with the twins, through a sono, another baby was hiding, I AM HAVING TRIPLETS! THAT MAKES 5 CHILDREN!

I am open to almost any idea that would resolve things. It comes down to he thinks I said I was sick to gain sympathy, and I have some thoughts I won't share here. I'm not changing my story, he's not going to change his mind. How can that be overcome? I don't know that it can. But I'd like to try one more time to work it out. It would be one less thing that both of us have to worry about when we're on the playa. If it can't be worked out then all I can hope for is things stay civilized like last year.

come out swinging.....you can always pm me with your ideas if you would like to and I can give you feed back. When you have children, you become an experienced referee!

Most be in the water … I found out today I’m having twins … so much for my trip … but if I had been going my vow would have been to leave my inhabitations at home

How far along are you? I am due in Mid Oct but since there are triplets
I am to schedule a c-section, so I may schedule it around the due date of the 15th if the babies are fine and healthy. Your right, don't jeopardize yoru babies or yourself, I am only 5, 7 and before my pregnancy I weighed 118 now I have ballooned to 132!
