for Nipples: Renaissance Rainbow Bunny Man
I know
have known this man
briefly but
through phone wire and post
exchange of want, idea, invention
through measurements’ numbers
and fabric forming
brief encounter upon deliverance
to a man on a fish
a dressing
a dance
a picture
of bunny rainbow hued
wings and horns
overall buckled belly
with nipples for Nipples
sewn of my threads and needles
art and love
in part in trade for
simple smooth beauty
hewn subtle in wood and glass
a staff
and then also from him
a plaque
a dream vision in clay
of earth’s continents
in womanly form
a relief
for Nipples
love Faabrika

I'd like to give a shout out to anyone who had known Nipples.
I am going to put together two scrapbooks in memory of Nippples and all of his personas. I'm looking for contributions. Pictures, stories, poems he wrote that you liked, anything that made a connection between you and him.
The first book will be burned. At this point I'm not sure whether it will be put in the temple or burned some other time on the playa.
The second book will be given to his family. He had three children and I think they would really enjoy knowing how their father touched all of our lives.
Please email me at [email protected] to make a contribution or if you have any questions.

Blue, do you know if he was buried or cremated? If he was cremated it is possible that some small portion of his ashes coild be placed in the temple if some would be released for this purpose by his family. That is if they think it would be fitting.

my father, peter (nipples)
Hi there everyone. My name is Noelle, I'm Peter's daughter. Thank you all so much for sharing your memories and expressing your sympathy. It soothes me to know how many souls my father touched in his journeys. I would also like to share the details of his death, if that's not to morbid. Peter died July 9, at 11:13 pm. He was driving his little Mustang, going approximately 70 mph in a 40 mph zone around a corner. He lost control of the car, hitting a large tree. He was ejected from the vehicle, and is believed to have died upon impact. That's all we know so far, as we are still waiting for the autopsy reports. I really enjoy what everyone has written, it shows me again what a beautiful, generous soul my dad was (is). So once more, thank you from the bottom of my sad heart for keeping my father alive.

This August 20 will be the 20th anniversary of my sister's death by car crash. If my experience is anything to go by the next six months will be strange. You will be cocconed in grief. Hang on and remember that the universe isnt' empty--it may not actually even be emptier. Despite the abyss that opened at your feet earlier this month.
Hang on. I wish I had more for you, but hang on.

Indeed, it would be great to print out all of Nipples poetry and place it in the scrapbook that Bluenightowl is creating.Lack of access to the old eplaya is hiding an enormous collection of wonderful haiku and other writings from nipples. Sure wish I and others could look back at that material right now. It's such a loss at this moment. Used to be at http://oldbbs.burningman.com.
Spanky, can you do this for us?

The sadness of a normal life....
You are released
I feel you leave
the place you were standing
is now an empty hole that
will forever remind us that you are not here
My heart greaves deeply and continually
I look to where you were as we all talk
to see you're little bunny nod,
you're quippy, quirky little qoute.
but theres nothing
noone there, no sound
just...... nothing.
Nipples, my love is one of the little amulets
you can carry in your magic bag
on your jouney in the next life

you're bestest pal,
rabbi dali rick

Noelle,
Your dad may be gone from this plane of existance, but I know - beyond a doubt - that he (and his spirit) will live on for many, many years... as long as there are those of us who hold (and cherish) his memory, his wit, his saying the right thing at the right time, putting a smile on people's faces. Nipples was a rare jewel - a diamond amongst trhe scattered black rocks...
His physical presence is missed by so many of us already... yet his non-ohysical presence flourishes within all those he touched.
Thanks for being there for us... as I know we will be for you.
With hugs,
BBS

Your father touched us all so deeply, always sharing his soul, as cheesy as that sounds. Even I, who so often only brushed shoulders with him due to schedules, am still a bit in shock.
Thanks for coming here and sharing with us. I hold your father in high esteem, and am very grateful for the years we spent on this board together.

wow, you are all so amazing. i can see why my dad enjoyed being a part of this so much. your words mean more to me than i can even begin to explain. things have gotten harder this week. i think i was just numb the last week or so. everything reminds me of him, but i guess that's a good thing, right? i'm thinking of coming to burning man this year, if only for just a day, because i'd really like to release some of dad's ashes there. are there "day passes"? any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks again everyone.

If you can`t make arrangements to get into the event. There are many of us that would gladly chip in to cover your admission...and a place to hang/people to be with. You might read abit about the extreme nature and conditions at BRC so you know what you`re getting into. I have a feeling that you probably know alot from the one that went before you.
You are Welcome. Just know he loves you wherever you are.
Please keep us posted. Hope you get to come to the Temple. It would be good for everyones soul. Best of Luck Sweetheart.

Is there anyway we can have a Nipples thread?
(it hit me pretty hard when Cowboy told me. It's still hitting me very hard.)
Nipples had some killer shit.
( I really dont think he would have had a problem with me saying that.)
Nipples was totally talented, and I'm sure you wont have everything he did, ( for a lot of reasons.) but he deserves as much to have his works published in at least a thread.
What do ya say Spank and Ra?
