Play Party on the Playa

I.
I'd like to host a Play Party this year, the party will be by invitation ONLY. I'm looking for a good venue to host the event.

What I am looking for is a an enclosed comfortable, carpeted space (at a minimum). It would be nice if it had lots of pillows/cushions, and a power source for music & some mood lighting (or we could do with candles). Kinda like the HookaDome if you will

Obviously LNT will be _strictly followed_

II.
I'm also inviting volunteers that will help contribute to the event.

III.
The exact night/time are yet to be decided but I'm sort of partial to Thursday night before the Yahoos get there (even tho this is an INVITATION ONLY event.)

IV.
If you are working on a similar concept - please do get in touch with me to see if we can learn from each other and/or pool resources.

Anyone have a good chill space with the right vibe? Thanks much!

Can I borrow $5? It's for my treatise on rule based sexuality. Also, I could use some paper, ink and ideas. And a table of contents, and a road map to success, and someone to tie my shoes and wipe my nose. But oly the selct few will be allowed to supply my needs and wants.

LNT: Leave No Trace. If you don't follow it someone, most likely the DPW will have to clean up your mess. If you've seen DPW, they are not people you wanna piss off.

By making your own play party, and not asking random strangers to supply all the infrastrucutre.

It went very well - why do you think we are doing it again

Although I gotta admit I am not used to this juvenile, non-productive, hijacking of a thread by burners... Thence my lack of continuing interest on this thread.

I suspect some of these here, have never even been to the playa that they have to ask a question about what LNT is; and why we practise LNT - for fear of DPW reprisal! I think not!

Anyways...the productive responses will come (are) directly to my mailbox

For the real burners in here - they know about creating satges for artists, and venues for hosting events! Hosting events is TOTALLY what the spirit of what BM is... anyways enuff of that 'last real burner' B.S.

..and radical inclusion does NOT mean every Yahoo that buys a ticket and gets in!

Off my soapbox & back to the regular morons ;P

Who said anything about reprisals? I was thinking about who has to walk out there and pick up the mess. I didn't say they were going to beat the snot out of you for non compliance even though I'd understand why they might feel like doing so.

That kinda seems to be the way you're presenting this venture. Hardly seems fair when ya look at it that way, ya know? So you got called on it. (You haven't really responded to their concerns either... just sayin'...) And some people got snarky, as is occasionally wont to happen on this board. And some people went off on tangents which had nothing to do with the topic and so should not be taken as a positive OR negative comment. So chill. Answer the question as to what *you* will provide for this event, or be considered just some random horny bastid looking for a sex camp and let this thread die an ignomious death.

Ya know... thinking about it... I know where I'll be Thursday Night. It's the one event I plan on making this year (if I have to crawl through an alpha to be there). Other than work, and work we must. And the other cool stuff I got planned.

So... Hmmm... (asking my personal secretary)... Nope. Sorry, but I'm afraid I'll have to decline. Certainly seems like it would have been lovely. THE event of the season. But I'm afraid I must decline your kind un-invitation.

Contrary to my previous posts on other threads I support any and all sarcastic reprisals on this particular thread by “The Gaggle”. Whatsinaname, your heart just does not seem to be in the right place on this. This will be my 3rd burn and I have never really seen anyone pull off an “exclusive” invite only party, it’s just too easy to crash. Are you going to stamp hands, pass out wristbands, and have security? I would imagine there a few large theme camps that would be interested in shutting down what they built for everyone, to host a private party for you. I think any “real burner” (as you put it) would not really be into such a gathering, not any I know anyway. The real burners I know look forward to sharing what they bring and create with everyone and anyone that wishes to attend and or bear witness.

I hope the Burning Man spirit takes you over this year and you decide to include every “yahoo” that walks by. Teaching them all al lesson in what it is to be a “real burner”.

Have you considered renting out the center camp cafe for a night?

Honestly ... this is just soooo "I don't want to put out the resources to pull this off myself so I am relying on someone else's desire for potential sex to provide the venue for me".

If you had a theme camp that had the afore mentioned accoutrements, you wouldn't need to be posting the existance of your play party on the internet and could probably have a much more exclusive, much more discreet, much more desireable party attended by more selective individuals.
