bike taxi's, is anyone doing it?

1st time burner. i've seached bike taxi's. can't find any. there must be a theme camp for bike taxi's. can anyone help me find a way to provide public transport?

Unless I am missing the point of a "bike -taxi"seems to me you would need a fleet of" bicycles built for two".That would not be cheap.You don't find those bad boys at garge sales, thrift stores or abandoned on The Playa.

From my understanding last year (2004) there was a fleet of rickshaws. I could be wrong as this was just something I heard in passing.

i have an old schwinn tandem i was thinking of tuning up and bringing
to the burn.
if i offered point to point rides, tours, pick-ups etc. does anyone think
i would get customers?

bob--I've never tandemed, but I've heard that it's hard to keep in sync with each other. Are you going to be able to work with that?

I have an old Schwinn tandem that I've been sl-o-w-ly rehabbing...It IS hard to keep sync, and they're no good at Evasive Maneuvers. A sudden turn equals instant ground-grinding time. I was going to build a robot to ride behind me, just for smiles.

Barrechos y Bicicletas are hosting riksha service out of the 3 oclock plaza. I'm actually looking forward to volunteering as a runner.
