BRC Mystery novel!??!

Imagine my surprise yesterday browsing at a local Big & Nasty bookstore when I see a title "The Man Burns Tonight". Nahh, can't be about us... But I pick it up and look at it, and sure enough it's a mystery novel set on the playa. Here it is on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... s&n=507846

The author Donn Cortez seems to be (from the liner notes) a Vancouver BC author and Burner. Amazon says it was just now published, July 26, 2005, looks like paperback only.

After the first 70 pages or so, I'd say it's decently well written novel that gives a good sense of playa life. I'm enjoying it immensely, I'm playa-obsessed at the moment, and it feeds my needs. I'd recommend it also to give to people who say "so what's this burning man thing all about, anyway?".
