If someone asks for sympathy, just give it to them, no matter how they ask for it. Most people are uncomfortable asking for attention and some actually do get sick so they don't have to ask. We're all going to die someday, can you have sympathy for that?

Some other people pick fights with people to get attention. Just give it to them.

This year I vow to NOT bring a satellite phone. The ability to call home and friends from Burning Man makes a great gift - my sat phone was a popular item with my neighbors at BRC - but we ended up leaving before the Burn last year because of an "emergency" call from a family member.

No.
Nothing but my attention, til it wanders to something else.

I vow to:

Be a bigger part of my theme camp (and BRC in general) by volunteering shifts at both the ferris wheel and the bar.

Seek out virgins and invite them into our circle.

Commit as many anonymous acts of kindness as possible.

Walk out to the man naked, atleast once. (Which may infringe upon the former, sorry)

Take better care of my nose.

Spend less time in the streets and more in people's camps.

Rock like a party star!

I stopped bringing a camera years ago. One less expense and thing to deal with. If my friends want to see something, they should buy a fucking ticket.

I vow to do all I can to help other fist time burners have the same incredibly amazing time I had my first year.

I vow to take as long as it takes, before reaching the playa, to purge all my pre conceived notions of what this burn will be like for me and just let it happen.

As for the tiff between Iso and Kinetic, I think we are making more out of it then is really there, and if not there is always a round of life size Rockem Sockem Robots to put a argument behind you.

Don't underestimate the depths of this tiff. It's been years in the making.

Offers made to resolve the dispute:
Private message apologies, an offer of a face to face exchange in the venue of his choice, mediation with 3rd parties respected by both of us, a Miss Talia vs Miss Isotopia contest, or a battle in Thunderdome if such a thing could be arranged. And I'm almost sure that with enough tequila (my liquid currency of choice) a Thunderdome match could be arranged.

Answers to all of the above: Silence. And I know he hears about what I'm saying because of what's posted here and on the blog. Now I'm no angel and I've made mistakes in handling the issues with him. I'm also outraged over his coma boy comments...he doesn't know fully what I've been through and how bad those words hurt. Perhaps he sees how I was lucky to go into remission while PJ is still fighting and that has him pissed off. I don't know, there's gotta be something more. But I'd like to move on and be able to have normal conversations that would include him on here.

If I can make a wish...and I know there are people reading this who can make it happen, I want 2 minutes of face to face time. I'd even do it in the middle of Wheeeville with all of his friends around if it would make him more comfortable. Can someone help arrange that or some other way to resolve / mediate this?

I feel OBLIGATED to take pictures, so I'll have something to show my friends and family and convince them that THEY need to come....They're a real hard sell, lemme tell ya. I do, however, try to have a "deep playa field trip day" wherein I ride out and shoot the "big stuff" and then call it (mostly) quits.
I'd just make shit up and tell them about it, but frankly, my imagination's not as good as the reality of BRC.
