The eplaya only keeps track of stuff you haven't read since the last time
you were logged in.
Scenario: you log in Friday, do your thing, then log out. On Monday, you
log in, read some stuff (but not all), then log out. When you log in again
on Tuesday, instead of seeing all the new stuff since Friday, you only see
the new stuff since yesterday marked as New.
Options:
1. No change. This works great for me.
2. I want it to know what I've read, period. I don't care when I read it.
3. I don't care if it keeps track of what I have read and what I haven't.
The purpose of this poll is to give the system administrators an idea of
what is working for eplayans in general. If I've missed an option, please
point it out. Please be as complete in your answer as possible.

This appears to be a more on-topic forum from what I wrote elsewhere:
The ability to pop back into a thread at the point where I left off reading/participating in the conversation would dramatically increase my satisfaction with the new forum. As the number of threads grows, noting that a thread was posted before or during my last session is not an effective proxy for whether I read it or not.
I don't know anything about the code or other technicalities that make such a feature possible, but I thought the mechanism used by the previous incarnation of the eplaya to mark messages as read/unread met my needs pretty well.

Please use only a #2 lead pencil. Please fill each bubble completely. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)Please be as complete in your answer as possible.
This problem is sticky. I'm not really sure what I think about it yet, although Tiara's suggestion seems like a good one.
Won't somebody please think of the children?!
