The marine layer has moved in for the night, and the clouds are racing by. I'm afraid I'm off to bed, Miss Blue. Did you know Gigs goes to bed at like 9:30? Shee-it, she keeps farmer's hours! And now, she's got me doin' it! I can't farkin' believe it either. Last night I went to bed at 11! Anyhoo, stay close and watch for my signal: then we make a break for it, n'kay?

Blue- they weren't joking about the Red Bull, or the Cranberry.... seriously- Ice can be bought (found) on the playa- but both Red Bull and Cran are THE SHIT. They are BOTH something I'd trade for once out there, AND that was good advice... I'd bring something like that if I hadn't spent all my dough on body paint.

after doing a little searching I don't believe there is a difference in name, but there does appear to be a difference in how they are/were traditionally worn... So now I'm trying to find "How men wear surong" stuff...

Morning, peoples! I'll make up some coffee for you late night and early morning folks!
*steps behind counter and cleans up coffee maker....measures new grounds in filter and sets it to brew...*
Spealing of sarongs......LeChat had a pattern a few pages back. I wonder though what types of fabric are the best for making a sarong? I saw some neat dollar fabric at mallwart yesterday. I think though that I couldn't wear one, I'd need a suspender to hold it up!
Anyone remember seeing a pattern for a hammock somewhere on the eplaya? I couldn't find it....darn!

Morning, Stiles! Yup, I shore did change my avatar to my kitty!(she says, Are you talking to...mwah?!)
Also, it seemed like it was "copycat" Lechat day.....Here Kitty, Kitty!
I like mallwart for cheap fabric. We are limited on fabric stores here so, we hit whatever store is close.
Would you like some fresh brewed coffee?
*sets out several mugs, pours a cup for Stiles*

No, I blew it. Partly because we called off our burn after about a week (though its now back on), partly due to health concerns brought up by fellow burners and partly because I really wanted a cheeseburger. I could break it down as follows
1% Due to BM called off
1% Due to E-playa concerned burners
99% Really wanted a cheeseburger
But, my wife and I are inspired to do a short one between now and the burn.

Bacon good, good bacon goood bacon
You know the Maple in the lemonade starts to taste a little medicinal after a few days and I get sick of it. I don’t use the Cayenne pepper much cuz I am not all that hot on the taste combination, as much as I know it is an important part of the cleanse. I thought about gifting it out on the playa, but the idea did not excite me to much.

Somebody call for me?
As to fabric: RAYON!!! It flows against the skin and feels sublime. Cotten tends to grab onto itself and limit movement. But... if you got 4 or 5 yards of cotton and pleated it up , I bet it’d do fine. Hmmm.....
(Begins thinking about cheapo fabric at MalWart)
Quick sarong: (2) yards fabric. Hem cut ends, leave selvage ends (sides?) as they are. Wrap around and fold down upon itself several times. Wide folds hold better. I usually start with wrapping it around me, bring the left side over to about my right leg, then wrap the right side around and pleat the excess up in front. If you’re worried about it coming off, a narrow belt under the folds insures no unanticipated accidental de-sarongings.Spealing of sarongs......LeChat had a pattern a few pages back. Still uncertain about my 12 cans of cream soda for $2. But then who expect fish to understand anything but water?Sensei wrote:I bring this and that... Probably a bottle of Herradurra, maybe a bottle of Grey Goose. But then I'll bring a fuckton of cheap vodka to donate to the waterfront bars. Here's the thang though: mixer is often worth it's weight in gold out there. A jug of cran-whatever, or Red-Bull ($$$) is often appreciated waaaaay more than you might suspect. Don't spend too much; buy the cheap stuff to give away. Again, think mixer... And cups: they're valuable too.

Well...I may not be amazed. It might take a lot to amaze me, anymore. How 'bout:
You'd be enthralled with what this bar allows...
That's a bit more accurate!

::keeps dancing, but this time without hat, shirt, or shoes::
NO SHIRT NO SHOES NO SERVICE, MY ASS!
