stilt walking

I'm wondering, how do the tall stilt walkers mount their stilts on the playa? I can't wait to use mine, the only thing I cant figure out is how to get up on them. Any help??

Sit on the roof or hood of your car and strap them on. If you need more details, you're too fucking stupid to be using stilts. Or a car, for that matter.

I've also known people who take a folding ladder for this purpose.
