Crapity doo dah day ... we have a conflict:
To celebrate the LEO's new focus on underage drinking at burning man, your peeps at Iron Rose camp are hosting a Drunken Minors, errr, Miners pub crawl Thursday on-playa. Hey occifer! Which way did the Drunken Miners go?!

Bring your hard hat and a pick (cut out of cardboard, plywood,
whatever!) to Iron Rose camp Thursday night at sunset. Catharsis and
4:40. We'll start off the libationist fun at the Juke Joint, then
quickly move on to depths unknown, but certainly the Opulent Temple at
11 to cheer on our fellow bellydancing-miners.
Maybe I can steer the crew by Barbie Death camp before we head off into the wild beige yonder.

Hell, bring a pick? Huzzah, I'll bring my Ames ice pick, designed for the troops to go out and climb damn glaciers!

And Rob, sorry yer not coming. Don't know all the particulars of why, but you seem to be the latest who has major problems with the Borg.

Nothing to do with the BORG per se, I just feel that the event is far more the party and rave fest than it was in earlier years. I pretty much go for the art and cacophonous nature. The event changed, and I no longer want to go anymore. I even tried the last two years, but it wasn't meant to be.

I'm still part of the culture as I like the people. I also try to do what I can for the regionals.

But I wanted to at least share a little sumthin sumthin with my homies. So I got a gift basket lined up for the M&G and another for the Portland JibbaJabba crew. So have some drinks on me and share a toast to those that can't (or won't) be there.

Rob,

Do the gift baskets have any of that evil drink with a wormwood base you tried to poison people with last year?

Rob, on our URL there's a nice picture of you in my humble abode preparing the w*rmw**d concoction. Will truly miss you this year dude. Sure Burning Man was better last year, and even better the year before that, but this year has promise. Still not too late to change your mind; hell, you can stay at BDC&WB. It's your call. And again, thank you!

ok Bambi, so i'll hold him while you pummel, and then we'll switch for a while. then i'll tap dance on his head while you play the bagpipes, and after that it's all up to you, i'm wide open :)

CBA, you are so confused. responsible means keeping your appointments. and i have an appointment on playa to KICK YOUR ASS so now i'm just going to have to deliver locally. Bambi, when is good for you?

I'm too busy getting ready for the playa I'm covered in last years dust and a little rusty on the bagpipes, but will gladly join you in the Slaying of Cowboy. Maybe you and I can do a little performance art at the M'n'G in honor of that slaying. or hell better yet ,We can slay him in effigy, But only after we rape and pillage him. If he were to show up, all would be forgiven, but nahh I' think we should just kick his ass anyway for making us take time away from my prep to rail against him for not showing . Either way he is going to get it. I'll get my hot poker ready and you go ahead and oil up those tap shoes this is going to be funnnnn!

I'll be seeing you all there.

Hope it's like last year's Sipping cocktails in the middle of a dust storm seems to be a very appropriate survival response.

DogBoy and I hope to be able to put in an appearance this year but, our camp has Thanksgiving on the Playa and the M*A*S*H*4207th's 1st Annual USO show that evening, so it could prove impossible...
However, if ANY of y'all find yourselves near the 3 o'clock plaza anytime during the week, stop in and participate in our art project.

so I missed it.

Tried to get there, but I got caught up in a lot of things that day and ended up getting kidnapped by a bunch of insane pirate clowns.

I can hardly believe it myself, but I actually carried out my threat and DIDN'T GO to BM this year... I spent a SHITLOAD of money this summer, most of it on a real boat, wanted to back off the budget.

Then, at the last minute, about Tuesday and Wednesday, I couldn't stand it, loaded the Playa Cruiser onto the trailer, put the camper on the truck, was just gonna do it anyway... then Wednesday night I read that there'd be NO ticket sales after Thursday evening... I sat there, calculating what my average speed would have to be to make it... it was just too late...

But next year IS in the plans.

Rob, thanks for the beverages. I was staying mostly sober on the playa this year, I made an exception for a taste of your stuff. I was feelin' the love amplified the rest of the evening. Here's my haiku on it:

Everyone's my friend

Aye, was surprised not to see the margarita-servin'-playa cruiser there, suspected it was some mundane thing like that (such as no money :D ). A curse that afflicts us all...

For me, myself, I was only able to spend half an hour or so there, just long enuff to get a good hug from Trisha, as the first customer in her virtual bar. And then I was a customer in her REAL (bike about) bar! Is that not kismet or what? The bar surface a 5' surfboard...how cool!!!

And go figure! Crypto is a girl! Would have never figured that...

I showed up very late...8:30 or so after a lot of people had left. I got to meet PurpleKoosh and Fishy, Rabbi Dali Rick, and a few others. I have to say thank you to RobbiDobbs who I spoke with at length and learned a lot of things from. And I want to thank Dr. Pyro for his ongoing hospitality in hosting this event year after year.
