..full speed ahead!

In the last nine days we've done our pre-build, put five staples into my head after a piece of steel feel on me, lost 25% of our early build team, smashed the front bumper of my car, collected the last few camp fees, argued, fought, made up, and in about 24 hours we leave for the playa. The burn has begun and I only wonder what surprises the road will have for us this year...

Best of luck to you all, come lay on Shady Asylum's grass when all is said and done. 2:30 and Esplanade...

I hear ya brother. Just today I had to ask the girl who's supposed to be sitting my dog and cat, "Are you still housesitting for me?" (We got into a tif a few days ago and honestly, she's flaky like that.) My plans have changed so much in the past year that I'm just glad to have somewhat firm plans (and a plane ticket). Tomorrow I'm shipping all the crap I think we need to LA to be picked up in the RV and I'm *still* wondering who of the other five are going to cancel on me at the last minute. I think they're all in (mostly because they're getting to ride my coattails). But I figured today that if I forget anything, damn the torpedoes, I can get it in Reno on the way up there. I had a friend cancel on me so the friends who are flying into Reno to be picked up don't know that I don't have a ride for them (yet) on Wed. I wonder if I could stand at the outbound gate with a sign that says, "RENO AIRPORT (AND BACK) OR BUST". Whee!!!
