I just heard that Cher can't make it this year.thehunt wrote:who's playing when PEOPLE!!???
Bummer.
Her concert in '03 was unbelievable, even if her stage did block the man a bit.
It's a camping trip in the desert, not the redemption of the fallen world - Cryptofishist

but seriously folks, Temple of the Breaks looks to be pretty sweet. Its Wednesday night at the Temple, and there's breaks- what else do you need? I heard that Freq Nasty and some other bigger names are dropping sets. Should be good.

Actually it's the radical voyeristic group "Up With Peepholes." Just don't camp next to them.jennifer6 wrote:I heard that 'Up With People' would perfom before the burn. I can't wait.

Di5orient 2005: Going Mobile
Di5orient 2005: Going Mobile
Disorient's bringing a new beast to BRC this year: the DI5ORIENT EXPRESS (DEX) - a massive art car slash mobile sound system, made with love in NYC and dragged to the playa by a crackerjack team of machine elves.
Each night, we'll park and play next to a different piece of spectacular Playa art, bringing our music, light, and fire next to stone, earth and steel.
If listed, nightly locations are tentative. Updates will be posted at our base camp: 8:00 and Esplanade.
Or just look for the blinking, orange "Di5" sign on the big bus with no sides and all the speakers on top and the 18' LED semicircles making those cool patterns...(well, you'll know it once you see it!)
Here's the lineup:
MON - Warm-up in camp, with house, breaks, & chill-out from camp DJs.
*Di5orient, 8:00 and Esplanade
TUES - Gloriously techy stuff: Spinoza (electro/tech-house), Artur (funky techno), Wolf + Lamb (minimal tech-house), The Eye (minimal techno & Goa trance).
*Party starts at the greeters station and then moves to open playa
WEDS - House, and lots of it: Laird (breaky house), Bass (tribal house), Vitamin Devo vs Biancadina (progressive house), Arrow (tribal house). Artur (deep house), Sascha (chillout).
*Location TBA
THURS - Space Cowboys ahoy!! Cap'n Kirk brings a crew to rock our beast with breakbeats (plus D&B by Arrow). Then we head to Fringe to see Hamsa Lila bringing in the dawn.
*At "the big tree"; Pilgrimage to The Fringe, Amnesia and 3:00
FRI - Freek Factory presents: Lorin Bassnectar, All Good Funk Alliance, Rodman, Rhythmystic, Mikio, and Ooah -- all kinds of breaks, all night and all morning long, with a Freekily massive boost to the bass!
*Deep playa, directly behind The Man (12:00)
SAT - Dawn set by Yossi Fine (world/dub). Post-burn lineup tbd. We host the party all night and all morning long. Party ends SUN at noon.
*We bring the DEX right next to the smoking embers of The Man
Di5orient loves performers grooving to our music: fire performers, poi spinners, hoopers, dancers, jugglers, etc. We'll welcome you anytime.
On Friday and Saturday, the DEX will be providing fire performers with free white gas and lamp oil (while it lasts).
We'll see you all out there, blinking in the distance with love!!!!!
