Nautilus X needs a DJ PA component to power our sound system

Post by Captain Nemo » Mon Aug 22, 2005 3:28 pm

Ahoy Burners,
We had a bad weekend as our central tuner on board the Nautilus X burned out on Sunday afternoon  . I have been advised that we should only look for a DJ PA system to replace it. We need one to power eight 100watt speakers and a 200watt sub. We are in a serious predicament as a lot of burners and DJ’s are depending on us to have our sound system functional on the playa. Anyone have any leads or can help us out? We are located in Santa Cruz and I live in Mountain View so I am willing to travel to borrow, or buy a very reasonably priced DJ PA unit. Most of my resources are set for fuel and supplies so too borrow one would be best. Here is our webpage to refer too http://hometown.aol.com/dsvnautilusx/.
To review we have gifted the use of the Nautilus X to the BRC for art tours day and nights at Burning Man for the past 3 years and plan to have an epic burn this year doing the same. My email is [email protected]. Please help keep the music pumping.
Thank you.

Why I love Burning Man, the playa, and burners!!

Post by Captain Nemo » Thu Aug 25, 2005 8:31 am

Ahoy Burners,
Yesterday I was reminded once again why I love Burning Man, the playa, and burners! An amazing individual from LA named T-fal (Terence) has graciously offered the gift of a robust amp to the Nautilus X. He has had this amp for several years and has not been able to find a proper home for it. It is events like this when we all pull together that makes this event really work. It brings us all together and the real magic is revealed.
My warmest and best thank you to T-fal for his amazing offer and gift. See all of you back home next week.

Just doing my small part.

How about a thank you to Nemo and the NautilusX crew for bringing a much larger contribution to the playa?

Come by the NautilusX on Monday night and make sure we got the amp hooked up right!! I'll be spinning some records and trying not to blow out the speakers.
