African/Caribbean/Latin music - Hear Me and/or Use Me :-)

Post by spincycle » Wed Aug 24, 2005 7:00 pm

Greetings Burners

This is a warm welcome and howdy from SpinCycle both to announce my afternoon gigs, AND to offer the "gift" of my music.

I'll be playing something you won't find a lot of at the Burn--Caribbean, African, and Latin music -- every afternoon from 1-4:30pm.

Thus, if you know people that would appreciate that mix, send them our way (Gooferville - 9:30 & Esplanade www.gooferville.com). We are Circus theme camp, so bring your jugglers, clowns, stilt walkers, bearded ladies, etc.!

On the other end, if you have an event planned and would like some of that type of music in the mix -- I'd be happy to drop a set (it's all on laptop and big hardrive) for you -- schedule permitting.

My strengths are Dancehall Reggae, Soca (Trinidad), Kwaito (South Africa), Soukous (Congo), Kompa (Haiti), Cuban Salsa, Reggaeton (Puerto Rico), Samba, and old school FUNK.

I would especially like to play for an Art Car at night. You can check me during the day to hear if you like it. It won't be trance or drum & bass -- but the Caribbean alternative -- music to drink rum with :-)

And of course, you are welcome to our big bash on Thursday night, the GoofBall!

Love and respect,

Jim (SpinCycle)
