May refer to this:

Definately yes in that case. and pollys as well. Don't know how you'd tend to hook up, especially with the first (as they are more discrete.)
the other lifestyle that you might be refering to is ms and you might try TOA who don't seem to be on the list I'm referencing. Don't know if that means that they aren't on the list or if they aren't attending or if they've morphed.

When referring to Lifestyle Couples there is one generally accepted definition. Those within the "lifestyle" know what it means immediately.
That being said, yes, there were lifestyle couples out there. They are a little harder to find than you might think. Anyone who has run or been associated with a club knows all too well that advertising your lifestyle status often brings more trouble than good. It's an old, very old, problem with single males and respect and balance. Way too much to get into here.
It's unfortunate that there aren't more play camps that are easier to find, especially for newbies. The problem is that if you advertise it then you better be ready to deal with security and all the other headaches that cum with it.
It's not that BM needs special camps to find the freaks. They seemed to be everywhere. Wandering around like everyone else. Must be something to do with all the open mindedness and freedom and respect.

(BTW: Thursday night, walking the Esplanade with Mrs. S3. We hear 3 youngish 20something boys behind us, obviously stumbling drunk. One yells "We're at Burning Man. We're going to get fucked up and fucked! Yahoo!" We looked at each other and said "Not with that attitude they're not". That's when it sunk in that the best days of BM05 were behind us.)

Oh come on. Even a bad day at Burning Man is better than a good day not at Burning Man. But I understand the vibe change. In fact, one reason we kept the necklace camp open on Sunday was to try to keep that good vibe going (even as it was being de-constructed elsewhere). That said, I'm arriving as early as possible next year.safetythird wrote:(BTW: Thursday night, walking the Esplanade with Mrs. S3. I never meant that the rest of the time sucked. It was far from suckage. For me the best part was earlier in the week. The 3 yahoos just confirmed what I had been feeling all that day. Something changed, so I adapted and carried on.DallasPlaya wrote:Oh come on. Even a bad day at Burning Man is better than a good day not at Burning Man.

Right. I know what you mean. Every yahoo I see makes me kick-up the playa love even more than before to compensate.safetythird wrote:I never meant that the rest of the time sucked. My playmate and I found some frolics over at the Lost Penguin's, erm, "beaver eating competition". I think all the "lifestyle couples" at Burning Man managed to make their way over to that contest that night. If we'd wanted to make friends with all the swingers at Burning Man I think most of 'em were right there.
We made it to the last round... so we were proud to basically be finallists in the contest! The winners were a gorgeous looking foursome, but other prizes went for being Canadian and for bribing the judges!

Fishy,
Don't mess with the Canadians ok? They are too advanced in their mission to overthrow the event. The best we can hope for at this point is to be assimilated and perhaps help with the leadership of the re-education camps. Start learning their bastardized version of French, fly your maple leaf flag and sprinkle your vocabulary with lot's of "ehs" and "aboots".

I've never gone to Burning Man looking for sex (though I have found it a few times). I'd feel weird going into one of the sexually-oriented theme camps. I mean, how many more men could they possibly need in there, right? Maybe the fear of awkwardness is something I need to just get over. Are there actually swinger camps / swinger-oriented theme camps?
Here's another word most people tend to understand immediately.safetythird wrote:When referring to Lifestyle Couples there is one generally accepted definition. Those within the "lifestyle" know what it means immediately.
Main Entry: sar·casm
Pronunciation: 'sär-"ka-z&m
a : a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual b : the use or language of sarcasm.
Thanks to Addis, I had more free time.

Point taken Chai. I just think they'd be an upgrade over our current dictatorship so I want to join. Hm. Maybe I should read the Benidict Arnold Best Seller-Out How to Betray Your Country and Improve Events of Radical Communal Self-Expression Without Really Trying the Power of Positive Spinning again.Chai Guy wrote:Fishy,

Some lifestyle people in 2004 told other people at BM they were in the lifestyle. They then were looked down on as freaks. From then on they kept it to themselfs. It would be fun to have a LS camp if not to play but to be around like minded folks.

I get the impression that that's the status of a lot of the LS peeps there. If you go through some of the old threads you'll find one that gave-off lifestyle vibes, talked about exclusivity and got thoroughly trashed by eplaya old-timers for being not interactive enough. Danger, will Robinson...hunter42 wrote:It would be fun to have a LS camp if not to play but to be around like minded folks.
I think it's true that lifestylers will get poked out--even by polys. Odd how the iterations work out over the years.

Hrm. Tried, but Tribe is acting kinda funny and won't take my login (anyone else have this problem?) and the Flickr account is dead. Anything else? Specific links to a professional-grade webpage, perhaps?Rat Bastard wrote: Libido Lounge is a lifestyle camp. Look it up.
