RV & JUG WATER - PLace in Reno to fill up and dump?

Where is a place in Reno to fill up RV water AND jug water???


Also, is there a place to dump gray and black water from RV in Reno....

If so, anyone have a name and location? Thanks so so very very much!!!

Buy jug water at any supermarket.

As to filling, if you are staying somewhere, I assume you can fill and dump while you're there.

If you aren't staying and no one posts a place just to dump, try the sites listed at

We stayed at the Victorian RV park (800-955-6405) on the way up last year because it was close to the freeway and close to water mart (775 358-2500 ). Rolled in about 3am, found an open spot and crashed for a few hours. Woke up and filled the RV fresh water tank then took a shower in the RV parks pretty decent showers. Stopped by water mart for drinking water and ice then back on the road to BRC.

Since it looks like we won't be spending a couple days in Tahoe on the way back this year I'd also like to know where on the way from BRC to Reno is a good place to dump tanks.

Last year we went to some large gas station right off US80 and were able to dump there (and presumably we could get water there on the way in, too, which we might). Anyway, I have a question up on an RV forum that's been helpful and somebody will know and tell me and I'll post it here.

In the meantime, I called Alamo Travel Center in Sparks off 80 (which I think was the place) and they said they do have a dump.

I called Sierra Sid's (also in Sparks) and they also have a graywater dump and potable water:

Sparks is a little out of the way if you're coming from the west, but, it's an easy drive down the highway from Reno (I know; I've done it).

Regarding water, I'd like to encourage everyone to use re-useable water containers (like we're trying to do this year) instead of just buying bottled water. It's probably cheaper, you'll have less trash and there will be less plastic going into a landfill somewhere.

Yeah, these are both large "travel centers" with lots of pumps, stores, fast food, etc. right off the highway. Last year we paid $5 to dump our graywater. You just pay, drive up, hook up, dump and go. If you need to wash your RV before heading home, there's a truck wash place somewhere around there more off the highway (I think it's a dollar a foot for exterior wash that they do themselves). I'd ask at Alamo or Sid's as they will probably know where it is.

BY THE WAY, if anyone is going by the airport like we did on the way home last year, be careful. The parking gates are extremely narrow and we took out one of those cement pylons with the side of our RV last year.

Yeah, I think I'm going to tell the RV place we're renting from to not fill the water for us to save weight.

What's weird about some RV places is that they DO NOT have a place to dump your graywater. I'd bet because they don't want to have to mess with environmental regulations.
