cheers MMV
Cheers to:
On my way home out by Bridgeport, Ca, a woman cussed me out because of how bad drivers all us burners are. After a few moments of discussion, it became evident that her problem with us is that we drive too slow! That's right -- BRC citizens seem to maintain the speed limit on the highways even after leaving the "Mig Alley" between BRC and Reno. Cheers to the careful drivers.

Cheers to the countless--COUNTLESS--amazing people who came into our camp, talked with us on our viewing structure and tasted our root beer.
Cheers to the dozen playa virgins in the Zaphod camp who arrived early, worked their asses off as a team, jumped into the Burn headlong with all their colors and costumes and kindness and creativity...who stayed behind and cleaned our camp and the camps around us. Because of you, Zaphod Left No Trace.

Cheers for all of the absolutely amazing art this year. Incredible...In particular, the war piece with the boots (I'm sorry; I don't recall the name - it was at 12 o'clock of the temple) had a deep effect on me. I thought that so many pieces were great, though...thought provoking, fun...It was a great year on so many levels.
Thanks to Addis, I had more free time.

Space Cowboys' mobile DJ'ing on burn night, Janna, Playa Go Round ("Is it loud enough?" -- I'll never, ever forget that, thank you), everyone who works so hard to make stuff work, everyone who setup a theme camp, the small tiki bar near 6:00 and Fetish where we met Kevin and Misty, everyone who came to Black Rock Necklace Camp, the police and firefighters who keep us safe, and anyone else I've forgotten. Thank you so much. My best Burning Man ever.

CHEERS! Johnny on the Spot!
On two different days we were able to flag down JotS and have our root beer saloon's gray water removed.
No sign-up-for-Monday-and-pray-for-Thursday experience here.
Plus, CHEERS to the ongoing education at the loo. At least in the 3:30 radius, the toilets were MUCH cleaner and far less foul than I remember them last year. Not entirely, but I didn't see nearly so many glow sticks, food items, beer cans, bottles, etc on the floor and in the terlets as last year.
Am I too optimistic?

Yes. The BABY WIPES were way out of control this year. We actually broke the centrifuge that separates the "liquid waste" from the "solid waste" for four hours on thursday, costing the JotS crew four precious hours of pump time (you may have noticed they were servicing potties well into the night that night). Most people don't even know how dangerously close the event was to getting shut down by the health dept.Am I too optimistic?
Also, there was a saboteur deliberately dropping rocks into the basins to damage the valves on the pump trucks. In the vicinity of 3:30, no less.

Oh wait, a couple more:
Cheers to Bobert for being Teh Man.
Captain for being so fucking Zen.
Eric, Carlene, and Jeff for being playa siblings.
And White Dragon Noodle Bar for best atmosphere and most lovin! I could only eat a couple of noodles, medically, but your place rocked my socks. I hope you got our postcard! *hint, Koala*
Spike's, you rule. Thanks for Roux who stole my heart, the bartender who remembered my "bloodtype", the dancing, the music, the people... you made my burn.
okay..... For now, I'm done. If there's a "people who rock my E-playa" category I'll have at least another page worth.

Hell yes, cheers to the Flower Car people! When I came across that thing unexpectedly on Wed. evening, it blew me away. Maybe the single coolest art I've seen on the playa in 7 years.
Cheers to the mobile hotdog stand for a wonderful, unexpected grilled cheese sandwich on the way out to the Man Thursday afternoon.
Cheers to Montecello, which was a fun, unusual idea for a theme camp and a great place to kick back and watch the band. Your bartender, with his Jeffersonian wig and attire with Rock-Me-Amadeus sunglasses, was a hoot when he laid up on the roof with the bullhorn, asking us around 2:30am to stay (in character even while in his cups): "Pray, sir, leave us not....you all must stay with us until the cruel rays of day kiss the dawn." This year, we couldn't find any of the camps/events we had written down, but kept finding cool places like Montecello out of the blue.
Cheers to Newt's on Saturday night, after the Burn. We had such a fine time with our neighbors in our neighborhood bar (which we hadnt' hit yet during the week) that we never felt compelled to go any further. Great music, great folks, great vibe. Felt like the old days.
Cheers to the friendly folks at Lost Penguin Cafe!
Cheers to the monkey chanters at the openning fire ceremony.
Cheers to Alien Love Nest for having their great talent show again this year, and for another fine pendant to add to the collection.
Cheers to the camp at 7:30/Esplanade that had all those wild instruments (laser harp, etc.) up for us to see all week (and kept them going in playa conditions), and for the great light show synced to the performance.
Cheers to all the folks who came to our Tues. night dance and kicked up their bootheels with us.

Cheers to the Espresso stand in 3:00 plaza for serving the elixer of life right (straight, strong and free!) Cheers to the beautiful girl I met. Cheers to the robot with attitude we stopped at our checkpoint.
M*A*S*H 4207th: An army of fun.
I don't care what the borg says: feather-wearers will NOT be served in Rosie's Bar.
When I ask how many burns, I mean at BRC.
