Well, I never made it to K.A because when I walked by it seemed mellow, by coincidence, but...
YOU GUYS ROCKED! We were camped at Zaphod (across Amnesia from the PlayaQ) and I whenever we were hanging out in camp I had 99.9FM on. Even when it wasn't my preferred musical style, it Burned.
We know many others were listening too, 'cause when our 5 y.o. mascot kommandeered the airwaves to hawk root beer, folks came up asking "Is this the root beer place that kid was talking about on the radio?"
Thanks, y'all. Hope to see you again!

Zaphod's rootbeer is underrated....I certainly hope it makes a return on the playa next year.
Back to K.A. for a minute, I stopped by on Monday night and wasn't sure of the kind of reception I would get. Helitack and I actually spoke and I will admit the person I met is not quite what I expected. He's really nice in person and just like I did at the time I will compliment him and all the others behind K.A. for a job well done. It really was a good camp with a lot of visual effects...it wasn't as large as some of the others but in terms of sticking to their theme and overall layout I feel it was the best camp I saw on the playa this year.
Thanks again Heli for your hospitality and I hope K.A. returns in 2006.

Club Verboten was fortunate indeed in being placed in close proximity to KA.The development of fraternal and brotherly ties between us lifted the masses of both our camps. The non-agression pact, which was derided by some as a ruse for KA to overrun us,held throughout the week.Peace loving specialists in music, generator repair, and robot entertainment were welcomed to our territory and honored as worker heroes. The vanguard of the progressive forces,The Kernal, was a beacon to all those desiring excellent humor in their ruthless dictators.Amongst the intellegensia we were inspired to emulate,if it is possible even in a small way,the amazing feats in science, technology and entertainment of the one called Jellyfish.
Our toilers at Club Verboten salute the accomplishments in the first year of the 5 year plan.We appreciate the difficulties and struggles it took to launch this glorius era of peace and progress.

I paid several visits to camp Apokiliptika. I found the theme of the camp intriging and quite approprite for the bm theme as well. Well done props and music. The moments that stick out in my mind were watching the interaction of the cutest couple I have ever seen. Blessed be to the two of you. You were simply made for each other.

I just want to thank JellyFish, The Admiral (Dana I believe), and Tank, for the Great time Sunday afternoon/Evening before the event started. I was happily fed and entertained into the early hours of the morning.

Club Verböten simply rocked. However, I must say that the proximity to KA kaused many Kamp members to abandon their posts for the fun times to be had within the practically-dust-free tent erekted by your minions.zorro sings wrote:Club Verböten was fortunate indeed in being placed in close proximity to KA.....
I heard a rumor of combining the evil Apokiliptika forces with the fun that is Verboten...not to mention that the themes seem a match made in heaven.
Whether that happens or not, Club Verböten is definitely on the "don't nuke" list for Apokiliptikans all over the world.
[ps-my girlfriend and I were the ones that donated the blinky ice cubes and Bass Ale to your kause!!!]
I look just like Teddy Roosevelt except I'm taller, heavier, have no moustache and am much younger. Bully!

Thanks to the BM community
Well, I am humbled.... which is hard for a despotic super tyrant to admit I will tell you!
BM 05 was in many ways the best burn ever, but that was due to the great boys and girls of the Apokilypse, to whom I will now always refer to as my tribe. Thanks one and all. Yes, yes, you are still fucking doomed. Now you have 360 days to contemplate your fates.
Curious though, I MUST ask..... who was fooled by our little last minute disinfo salvo?

Ok, I was fooled. But until I actually stepped foot into the camp I still thought that Heli and the Kernul were one and the same. Obviously I was wrong.
If the powers that be have their act together for theme camp placement next year, K.A. needs a very prominent placement. I'm not saying any of this to suck up...I'm simply speaking from the heart and saying it's just that damn good and it deserves to be recognized. And it looks like others share the same sentiments I do.

For my birthday, I want a pony, a drumset, and the mobile Interrogation Squad on the Apokizooka Transport Trike.
RobotLand gave a wonderful suggestion of the Apokiliptika Reserves. That's right, spies can be recruited throught the other camps and wear their patch on the inside of the playa garment. With that kind of intellegence, would the Interrogation Squad be free to prowl the playa and collect it?
Other ideas for 2006 include the Cell Phone Batting Cage and the Bride of MiniMan done up in lovely magenta el wire.
I am now on furlow and R&R so fuck any new ideas you might have as I cannot listen to anything unless it is sung to the tune of the DougelDutch song.

As a Lamplighter lifter, I made my way down 3:00 towards the Apokiliptika camp with a full kerosene lantern at the ready, but just when the moment of opportunity struck, I found myself strangely entranced by the signage, trying to decipher the many Cyrillic markings. That was some of the worst Russian grammer I've seen yet! Mission aborted!
