Hurricane Relief

Did BMOrg announce the results of the hurricane relief project? I got involved with the project to put out the cash barrels and circulate them at Rev. Billy's prayer service and am wondering how much ultimately was raised.

Hurricane Relief at Burning Man

I haven't seen a definitive number, but I did come across the following quote(and astounding number!) by Mark Morford from the SF Chronicle:
But here's the thing: While the circumstances and the remoteness of the event meant most Burning Man participants had little or no idea of the extent of Katrina's wrath, as soon as news did begin to trickle in, the call went out and Burners immediately rallied and funds were immediately raised across the camp, and word has it that the money gathered reached into the tens of thousands within two or three days, with zero PR or advertising or formal pleas from Angelina Jolie or the Red Cross and sans any blank-eyed stares from our useless president.
You can read his article(diatribe?) here:

Hurricane $

We definitely raised thousands, probably tens of thousands, no question. I'm just wondering whether the Accounting team (which must be just a bit busy at the moment!) has totals yet.

Funny thing: there WAS a Very Special Guest Star - certainly the first I have ever seen in my nine years at Burning Man. Joan Baez sang Amazing Grace at Rev. Billy's prayer service. Who knew she was a burner?
