BM.05 account

My Burner Compatriots!

As many of you may know, I’ve been creating some waves documenting our crazy vibrant underground scene in writing. Up until now, I’ve been simply publishing these lurid tales of lust and depravity in my blog on Tribe. http://people.tribe.net/tommybigfinger?r=10025 I am happy to say that I just got commissioned to write my BM.05 account for the inaugural edition of a professional publication that will be sure to rock your socks off. According to the mission statement of this amazing new rag, they “will be working to bring together and integrate all of the vital resources for the growing international community focused on sustainability, green design, relocalization, bioremediation, spiritual practice, permaculture, shamanism, political activism, and similar areas.” They are totally pro, intellectual, hip, and have a decidedly BM twist. They are looking for me to write a journalistic account of this year’s Burn.

Although I’d like to think that I have an objective eye and mouth in relaying these accounts, the fact is that my tales are more often than not quite cerebral, inside of MY head. Thus, I would like to bring a wider perspective to the table, one that reflects the larger voice of the community, and not just the little green man in my head.

I am looking for 4 different categories of input from all of you who attended BM this year. Please fill in at least one of them, if not all 4.

1) ART: What was your favorite art project/mutant vehicle? Why? Please include as much info on who created it, where it was located, and the background. Feel free to include your personal reflection on it. I’m also looking for general thoughts on the overall quality level of the art this year, and would definitely like to cover the BORG2 challenge/debate, i.e. Did it work?
2) MYTH: Please list any deep synchronous personal BM anecdotal stories/incidents from this year. I want the legends and myths, both the magically beautiful and the incredibly ugly. What rocked your world and gave you goosebumps?
3) VIBE: What was your overall feeling and vibe of the event? Compared to past BM experiences?
4) PICS: Got any pics to reflect your art, myth, or vibe reflections? also, if you got any pics of me, i'm attempting to track them down.

I am so excited for this opportunity to take what I’m already doing to a higher level!!! I am eternally thankful for those of you who are fans or haters of my writing- thanks for reading and tawkin’ shit!!!! And thanks in advance for your input for this piece. Be assured that I will preview the piece with anyone who is mentioned in it- I’ve learned that lesson well. If you would rather not post to this thread, feel free to ‘private message’ me or hit me up on tribe and we’ll keep it on the downlow.

Love and Dust,

TBF
