Well,... I was there.

Not exactly the archetype of doversity version of a stitch and bitch but as things go a whole lot better than the coffee shop,

True. And I think you may be right. But I think that the pivotal moment was the first meeting at Bob's after burning man. That's when we met Chris and NikO and started talking more seriously about doing other things.

Niko is a trip. One of my buds for sure. If he can't get something started... it just wasn't meant to get started at all. Put him and Karine together and you've got a hotbed of inspirational energy. Two "get's things done" kinda' people.

Ugh... time for this cat to get to bed. yeah, yeah... slacker, weakling, and all that.

Goodnight...

Like me? The funny thing is that I don't think that I am all that social. I go out a lot at night. But that is to sit at coffee shops all alone. I just never really liked being home. Mostly because of the lack of energy and distractions helping to keep me on task blah blah blah.

I’ve always really liked being at home, because of the lack of any constraints on my mind wandering.

Yea, see that's the part I don't like. Because my mind will wander for hours on end. Then I don't feel very good because I haven't done anything with my time. And I want to do things. I like having hobbies and doing things. It makes me feel good.

For me depending on what it is , doing things Like the beading stuff and other kind of tedious things work with being in the flow of things for me. Being in a flow, interacting with the materials thoughts from the mundane to the abstract intertwining with memories and dreams. Of course getting started is the hardest part. I need to work on that..

Course a lot of people might say the things I do aren’t worth doing but in a lot of ways it’s more about the process than the product.

I need to think about heading to bed, Good night Blue,

I can relate, Z, I was the same with with some things in the past. It's kinda like a form of therepy sometimes. Gives you something to concentrate on so your mind pushes things onto the back burner. I found it a good way to clear my head. And sometimes if I was dwelling on something, after doing something like that I would find the answer to what was eating on me would pop right out of nowhere. Almost as if I needed to get it out of the "front" of my head and let the subconscious work on it a while.

I discovered something today. Not a huge surprise as much as a realization for a virgin Burner.

A friend was telling me about this great horse pack trip she had done up in the mountains around Grand Teton National Park. She went on about how beautiful it was and she was with a fun bunch of people and had a generally marvelous time. I said" "Gee, that sounds great. I'd love to join you next time. When do you go?" She said "The last week of August, first of September." And I found myself saying, "I couldn't possibly go then. That's when I go to Burning Man."

So I guess that means you'll be seeing me again next year.

Was there ever a doubt?

*wanders in......rummages behind the bar.....digs out a bottle of peppermint schnapps, heats a cup of coffee and pours a shot of schnapps in, sits in a booth and sips her drink*

Hello, Squidly! Would you like a peppermint patty?

I had a similar story.....the "World's Longest Rummage Sale" takes place during the same time frame as BM. I just said, "Sorry, can't go. I'm going to BM!"

Evening, Chai!

coffee, Oooohh, I would love some but after being up till 1:30 last night, because I had a couple of cups,... ok 3/4 of a pot yesterday evening ,... I swore I wouldn’t do that again,.. I get up at 5 and living on 3 1/2 hours of sleep isn’t a lot of fun.

I’ll take Squidly’s schnapps and a sot for myself too.
