Does anyone else ever think that should there be a nuclear war or the whole country fall apart, their first instinct would be to head to Black Rock? The communal nature of the city just seems like such a safe haven should that kind of thing happen, KWIM?

If there's a nuclear war I'm going to Fort Stevens at the mouth of the Columbia River. The Pacific Ocean will have (hopefully) scrubbed any radiation from across the ocean and provide clean air, the ocean itself would provide food and water. The fort's inner tunnels and concrete-fortified corridors would provide shelter, and there's a national guard armory down the road that could be looted for supplies if it was abandoned.

Plus, they have cannon and some old armor that could be repurposed.

Not sure if Columbia water would be safe to drink, but there's plenty of hopefully-clean rainfall.

Y'all are invited, but don't tell anyone. Battery Micheler is the chill space. Clothing is optional, of course, but perverted nonparticipant types will be cooked and consumed. The iron slab that is the door will be guarded by the giant cockroaches.

If the shit hits the fan, you guys are on my team.

Well, they do, but it's a rounder marinade; more stale beer and less patchoulli.

Plus, with a Ranger Burger, you're far less likely to get a hair stuck in your teeth. That, by the way, the main reason why you should never eat hippies!
