AndDrum and Bass is sort of frantic too... really high beats per minute (BPM)... a bit much for me most times.

most of the time I don’t do anything that really would need steel toed boots for,...

A few years ago I was on this stand up fork lift, ( an order picker ) and was trying to kick an extension cord out of the way as I was driving and ended up driving it up onto my foot, the reversing it so I could get my foot out. Had I had on steel toed boots then it would have rolled the toe over and cut off half my foot so I avoid them when I can.

I think some steel toe boots have hard plastic cups now instead of steel.
I got a pair that are like tennis shoes and are really comfortable. I wear them around the yard.

The last pair I had were like that too M, light and not bad to wear but, mine got to be rather icky pretty fast.
