Sorry Ivy, but Olivia and that purple hair in that avatar pic drives me wild. I came real close to signing up for SG...the first time I ever considered subscribing to stuff like that. I held off though as I'm having too much fun here and really don't have time to mess with it.
Why the reaction to the Suicide Girls, if I may ask?

have you actually *talked* to any of them?
there's more to people than just how they look. lots more. oddles more.
in fact, what they look like has an almost zero correlation to how enjoyable it is to spend time with them.

Sheesh guys you would swear I was looking at marrying one of 'em. Chill out! The Suicide Girls just look hot, and that's about as far as that goes...at 33 they wouldn't give me a first glance much less anything else unless I waved green pictures of Ben around. And even then I'd have better luck at the Bunny Ranch with Air Force Amy than with one of them.
Let me toss a question out. Say a guy has a new g/f that is nice, but not exactly super cute. He likes her but finds himself looking at the girlie girls...like a redhead that most likely won't give him the time of day but he still has a crush on her anyway. Do you chase after the cute girlie girl, or stick with one that's not so cute, but would basically do anything for you?

i'd stick with what i got. the importance of physical appearance wanes during the relationship, and if they're cute enough for the first week, they're cute enough for a lot longer than that. it's the other shit that crops up when cute isn't enough anymore that is why relationships end.

i like them all and i like when they like each other. and i'm not just talking sex. even though.....
it's just nice when they are happy and having fun. and looks have nothing to do with that. neither does money though there are some who'll beg to differ.

It's not that easy to ignore the looks. I'm not in ideal shape. Neither is she. But you get attention from a cute red head and you start wonderng if you made the right choice? Why am I even looking, much less thinking about it?
I am really looking for a woman that's like some that I met on the playa...active, free spirited, fun, crazy even. They are hard to find in KC.
I'm whining again so I'm going to shut up and try to stick to the thread.

Oh, I totally find Olivia hot, at least the pic she posts here.
I applied to Suicide girls and was instantly regegected because (and I quote) I didn't 'have a scene." I.e., I wasn't a stereotypical punk, goth, whatever. This in and of itself is neither disorganized nor unprofessional and I believe they were totally within their rights to do this.
Don't mean I agree with it though, and I responded back and told them as much. That I didn't cater to some "scene" (which, BTW, people tried to convine to use the BM angle as a scene, but I wasn't too keen on that), that I would rather just be me.
After recieveing my email, I got a response back from someone claiming to be sending me email on belaf of Missy inviting me to an interview. The email was gramattically apalling, I could hardly follow the woman's sentences and it was written in all lower case. Totally unprofessional.
She invited me to an interview, i don't reacll the exact day, but it was during theweek of BM. I responded saying that I could not make that interview and, becuase she told me to respond with my available hours if I couldn't make that meeting, that i would be out of town and totally unreachable until the 4th of September.
I get back from BM to find the exact same form letter email, lower case and all, asking me to meet on the 2nd of Sept. Now what part of me being out of town until the 4th did you not understand? So I wrote them back, telling thatm again that I had been out of town until the 4th, sending them my availablity, and chastising them for their unprofessional and disorganized behaviour.
Never heard from them again. It's probably for the best, as I can do better pics elsewhere and it doesn't seem like we would get along so well.
Because in my experiences with them, they are completel disorganized and unprofessional. Why the reaction to the Suicide Girls, if I may ask?

Ivy, now I understand. Olivia's pic is hot and I saw a few others when I looked over the site that caught my attention but they were not my type.
(Even though I love goth women!)
I noticed the clique thing going on and it seemed like a bunch of 18 yo girls who hadn't let go of H.S. yet, which I mean they are cute and all but that's as far as it goes.
You don't need them and anyone that runs a business in the way you described doesn't need to be doing business.

Bullseye. I hate to break it to you but she isn't the one. (Actually I don't believe in One but she ain't any of 'em)Kinetic wrote:Why am I even looking, much less thinking about it?
My saying this is a dramatic reversal from what I was going to say in regards to your original question. I agree with III -- if you want a relationship to suceed for more than a few months there are many things more important than looks. (We all dig Olivia's avatar, by the way)
Having said that, I'm of the firm opinion that if you're not sure about your current relationship then you shouldn't even consider getting married. When I was single and wondering if it would ever happen for me, a friend told me I'll know it's right because it will hit me like a ton of bricks. I thought he was full of shit and told him as much. Ten years and several mediocre relationships later, he was absolutely right. I quit my job and moved 3,000 miles to marry my wife. We're in our 4th year of marriage and still as happy as the day we tied the knot. (Probably more so; consider eloping when the time comes!)
Bottom line: pursue the girlie girls if that's a requirement for you but it sure as heck won't be the only thing that makes a relationship succeed. Find your own center and be patient and you'll know it when you've got the right one.
You're in luck! I can sell you a ready-to-assume "scene" for $49.95! Included in the package are: a bad attitude, a "look" guaranteed to distress all except the few other members of your scene, and a litany of insider terms and slang.Ivy wrote:...I applied to Suicide girls and was instantly rejected because (and I quote) I didn't "have a scene."
Order now and you also get this lovely and unique body modification at no extra charge that's exclusive to your "scene":

no offence intended. i like your response Ivy. but after all this is a girlie girl thread. and i'm here and that's why i just started the girlie men thread. so if you want you can go there and give upset responses there that cause people to think differntly. i'd welcome it.
p.s. it was all just a joke. thanks for putting a smile on my face.
