EvilDustBooger has a GREAT idea for next year's theme...."Monsters"...So we need LOTS of ideas for monsters, monster names, and monster descriptions. I'll start:
Name: OOooonntzz
Description: Big and shiny, with thousands of blinking eyes. Big, mirror-toothed mouth.
M.O.: known to devour ravers whole.
Name: Lahontan Dust Monster
Description: Like a low, dusty hill...One HUGE yellow eye, only visible when open.
M.O.: Waits for unlit cyclists and pedestrians to trip and fall over it on the open playa in the darkness, and then flows over and digests them.
Name: Playa Grouper
Description: Like a giant sea grouper, with a long appendagelike tongue ending in a glowstick-like knob.
M.O.: lurks between structures, right off the Esplanade...You figure out the rest...

Modus Operandum: The Playa Serpent cruises around pretending to be a cozy conveyance with just it's tongue visible. Once prey has settled upon it's tongue, the Playa Serpent rears up and swallows the victims away...
