From reading the guide it gave me an understanding that there are alot of undercover officers at this event. Is this an exageration or is that reality? And for underage drinking (im of age in canada but wont be down in the U.S. :( ) is it a big big deal or is it like here and the worst thing that can happen is they drive you home and talk to your parents? (unless you really make them mad you can get a $100 fine)

As long as your aren't making an ass out of yourself or being obvious you should not have any problems. The word pre-event this year was that anyone serving alchohol to underage drinkers wo uld be in a sh*tload of trouble for violating federal and State law. I don't know how that played out, but I would plan not to drink while in country. There's a whole lot of experiences out there that don't need that sort of "enhancement" and there are not only legal but also in the heat and altitude health risks.

I think it's a mistake to come on a public BB and ask about violating the law. I also think it's naive to expect people to tell you how to evade underage drinking laws in a forum where users are registered. My suggestion is that if you're underage in the US, you should expect to behave appropriately and to be treated appropriately. Laws vary from nation to nation, state to state, province to province. It's OK to ask the question about the law, public board or not. It's NOT ok, however, to talk about your plans to break the law.
BLM and PCSO/WCSO were looking for alcohol law violators last year pretty actively (and not cutting any slack, from what I saw). It's pretty safe to assume they will continue with their "enhanced enforcement" in both the areas of underage drinking and illegal drugs.
My thoughts to you on this...
(1) the legal drinking age in Nevada is 21. If you are caught imbibing and you are not yet 21, you will catch shit, and it probably won't be "pour it out with a warning", but "Pour it out, here's your ticket".
(2) Drugs (including cannabis) are illegal in Nevada. Do it and get caught, see #1 above.
(3) Use discretion in all things. For example, you walk up to a BLM ranger reeking of a splifff and a pocket full of baggie, don't be surprised to get rousted. Don't walk around tthe City openly toking on a fattie. Don't ask some stranger if he wants to buy some (or do some) 'shrooms (and commerce is a no-no, anyway!)... If you look underage and are openly drinking the man may ask you for your ID (which in Nevada you *must* produce, unlike some other states).
BTW, some undercover cops out there look like them. Others look way too cool to be cops. Be aware...
Bottom line - If you wouldn't do it at home, it's probably not too wise to do it at your "other" home!

Speaking of, I understand that according to San Francisco law, all criminals, robbers, rapists, murderers, dealers, pimps, crackheads, carjackers and crimelords must turn in their handguns along with Aunt Millie and Uncle Bob by April. I'm sure they're all lining right up to do that.
