If the 2006 Theme was "HATS" ...

What would yours look like?

Please be a specific as possible - this will build into my community project for next time around.

Mine's already done. It's a foil-covered planter hat with a black helicopter on it. I tried to use it this year but the dust storm on Monday messed up the helicopter.

I'd dust off (not literally, of course!) the thinking cap that I brought last year- Aluminum miner's helmet with about five pounds of EL and LEDs on it, topped by a plasma globe. And the fuzzy coldweather version, with earflaps and a tiny green lightup Man on it.

well then, i now know that i've known all along it was you but was just kind of lurking around waiting for more clues. i think i've known since the first time i read one of your posts (granted, the kalamazoo location was a hefty clue). still, it's been fun seeing your eplaya self reflect your playa self so accurately.

yeah....everything seems to freak me out....

but you know, this hat thing has become a real issue with me. which hat would i wear? perhaps the one i found at the second burn i went to...or maybe the one i found at the third....or how about the fourth? frankly, i'd probably wear the second hat i found at the fourth burn except that i lost it ten minutes after i found it. oh what a lovely lesson in 'playa giveth, playa taketh away'....

and no one ever confirmed that i saw the hat on the web page logo man NOR that it was put there in honor of larry's birthday.

i'd really like to know, have other people found as many hats at bm as i have?

okay....my hat would have to look like the one the cartoon raven wears (i forget his name)...right?

I've been asked, "What's so wrong with hats made of meat?"
Here are my answers:

1. After an hour in the hot playa sun, the hat will have a horrible stench.
2. Meat hats will invite terrible puns: pork, weiners, meat balls, rump roast, tongue sandwich, etc.
3. It will attract files.
4. It will attract wasps.
5. It will attract coyotes, cougars, and other carnivores.
6. It will attract the flesh-eating zombies.
7. They're ugly. As you can tell from my previous post, I have nothing against ugly hats, but the meat hats I've seen are butt-ugly. No, make that fugly. To paraphrase a PETA slogan, "Meat hats are murder." Not just to animals, but to fashion sense, as well.
