So what is Camp Herring all about?
Well, it all started with me trying to communicate with Kamp Apokiliptika and that changed into a verbal battle with a graphical underline.
Since me being from Norway and all, the verbal part of the battle was the hardest part for me. Therefore I did put more effort into the graphical part of the war, which I think for me was far more successful.

Apokiliptika’s theme is pretty much to doom people and they are really good at it.
I got plenty of doom from them and we had a great battle which is still going on as my avatar reflects.
It was in the verbal part of the battle that "Herring" seemed to show up all the time.
They kept calling me “the mad herring eating Norwegian” all the time, and the fact is that I do eat herring sort of every day.
Then I had a nightmare dreaming that I got doomed as the first thing to happen when I entered the gate of BM 2006 and spent the rest of the festival in a cage hanging 15 feet above the ground.
That exact dream made me decide to stand up and fight in the name of Herring as I have a good arty feeling about all this.

I consider my self average smart and average dumb, but above average curious.
It’s that last part that seems to get me into trouble all the time. But hey, you only lives once right!
Now I am number one on Apokiliptika’s doom list I’m pretty sure!

It all boils down to that if I’m going to do a theme camp, Camp Herring must be the one!
It’s an impossible mission to fight Kamp Apokiliptika all by my self, so I need all the help I can get! : )

In CAMP HERRING you’ll be able to fight evil in form of Kamp Apokiliptika.
You’ll also get to remind people of that seafood is one of the few things in life you can eat as much as you want of without the worries of all the calorie shit that the commercial world is jabbing about all the time.

A friend of mine has offered his help to Camp Herring as an allied with his “Camp Plan B”.
He also supports seafood with the motto “intelligent food for intelligent people!

If you find Camp Herring attractive to join or have some creative ideas on how it should take form, please let it out!

Herrings at twenty paces! If I DON'T get to see two leather-clad warriors swinging from bungee cords and smacking each other with fish, I promise you I shall be sorely disappointed.

Having briefly met Helitack in person I don't think I'd like to challenge him on enforcement of those Kantina rules. He's got my respect.

Well. we are planing something we call Thunder Herring, and that involves smacking each other with fish. : )
I hope the people in Thunderdome don't get mad at us for using that name as we really like the sound of the name Thunder Herring.

Herrings (herring?) have many uses. I am reminded of the time some Calech students empirically measured the distance from campus to City Hall in herring-lengths (actually laying a single fish end-over-end for the entire span).

I don't know what shape the fish was in at the end of this process, and I hope you aren't too offended at the thought, Ms. Fishy.

In Camp Herring, would this icthian being become the standard distance unit? Would you have the Fish Police enforce the rule of length?

Wow, funny you mentioned that!
This weekend we go fishing (again) to find the average Herring.
With the help of a GPS receiver we’ll put up a multi-sign pointing all directions to important places measured in Herring lengths.
Paris, Los Angeles, Berlin…. That’s a booooring sign.
Please tell us what’s worth pointing at!

What is an important place for you deserving to be measured in Herring Lengt????????

We’ll also measure manually with a single Herring end over-end to important places in Black Rock City.

Is that the old "If they laid 1000 herring end-to-end I wouldn't be surprised" joke?

Ms. Parker was a fish too!

Let's create a website, ala MapQuest, that gives directions using herring lengths.

Camp Herring is not a camp for people that just like fishing or only like to eat fish!
*Camp Herring is for people that love fish and the smell that comes with it!

I don't get this "herring" stuff. And the smell around here is rank. I'm thinking the Apokiliptika people need to get out their flamethrowers and clear the air or do something to get rid of this ever growing pile of fish. With all that military hardware surely they have something that would work over there.

Ah, Apokaliptika are a bunch of wimps and that hardware is for worship only. If they actually used it they'd wipe themselves out.
