I'd rather watch one night court episode 10 times than one episode each of the top ten current sitcoms. Talk about gratuitious...

eta: especially gratuitious coding!

70 MPH + crosswinds... On a bridge... In a driving rainstorm... trying to right a semi that (literally) blew over in the wind and landed on the bridge rail... over the bay 100 feet below... for hours and hours...

What a wonderful day!

Anybody got anything warm? Anybody got a towel? My nipples are so cold they ache. My skin's all shrivelly from being that wet! I need a drink!!

I love my job...

Holy Fu5kin' Sh*t! the MrFishist saw a fatal accident today--and this after his friend commited suicide yesterday.

I'm on that bridge in half an hour, hope there's no back up. (selfishfish.)

Which accident? There's been a s**tload of them today. Don't know if the driver in ours died or not, but they took him away code 3, not in a first call van...

The bridge was the Richmond/San Rafael, not the Bay Bridge, BTW... The SFOBB looks pretty good westbound right now.

And with that wind and whatnot, we're *really* lucky (a) no one got hit or run into, (b) another semi didn't go over, and (c) no one got blown over the side. Any of the above seemed probable at the time...

Hugs 2 you,
bb.

I just came in to get the
Celtic Twilight recipe. good nite

1 oz Bushmills® Irish whiskey
1 oz Bailey's® Irish cream
1 oz Frangelico® hazelnut liqueur
Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass half-filled with cracked ice. Stir well. Strain into an old-fashioned glass 1/4 filled with cracked ice, and serve.

Good morning!

Ahhh...it wouldn't be a bar if someone didn't come in to gripe about their love life now and then...

Take care M and thanks for the coffee.

I don't know, Msky, what I hated about ultrasounds (ovarain in my case) was the having to drink a gallon of water and then they press that wand against you.

Lucky I never exploded...

Oh, and thanks for the taxi--from one of the great fish movies...

Gripe away! If you can't do it in a bar, where can you? I know about it being difficult, that's for sure.

Msky - awww, sweetie!! sorry to hear that! and the ultrasounds...ick. if it makes ya feel any better, from my (lonely) perspective, a messy lovelife seems better than a nonexistent one....

Fishy - yah! the gallon of water and *THE WAND*. aaaaaaggggghhhh!!!!!

Joel - some days i DO put a lil whiskey in me coffee!! Are you on your own at home with the kids?

<hollers out the back door> SORRY I MISSED YA, SUE!! TAKE CARE OUT THERE!!!

the drink, i can do - hot tecate? or a whiskey toddy?

the call, however might be tricky...my daughter is having her first art opening tonight!! it's a multi-artist fund-raiser for a local arts collective and they all create 15 little 5"x7" pieces. We are expected at the opening reception this evening...la-ti-da.

check this - just got in 2 separate emails - from a performance at NYC Decom by Amy Shapiro:

(This was said while lobbing condoms full of sugar into the audience:)

Throwing glitter on your tits is not a costume.
Three people dancing at 4am is not a rave.
Radical Self Expression - not so easy as it sounds.
In fact it's hard fucking work.
A wild patience has taken me this far,
as if I had to travel 3,000 miles to a desert
where not only was I responsible for my survival,
but I had some dream project to create.
Just like home in New York! No difference.
The other 51 weeks a year are no different than this one.
Decompress into the sweetness of life.
Free at last, free at last, sweet God Almighty we are free at last.
40,000 souls watching the burn is a 21st century miracle.
So tear my heart out one more time. It's what I came here for.
