Holiday Resource Reminder

Just wanted to drop a line a remind everyone that the holiday season is a great time to find lighty, blinky things for low prices.

Example:
Yesterday found battery powered LED light strands at WalMart for around $4. I bought all the ones they had on the shelves.

Last year after Christmas:
Scored on a few strings of AC LED strands that went to BM last year plus 4 other major party events before finally ending up on the side of my house as, oddly enough, Christmas decor.

I bought a couple hundred feet of red rope light for very cheap. If I remember correctly I think I paid $1.50 per 10foot rope at the local Longs Drugs clearance table.

Also remember that regular rope lights suck up lots of energy. If you've got the power they're great and since they were cheap you dont mind people riding their bikes over it breaking a couples bulbs.

I'm sure there's all kinds of other resources you'll find here and there if you keep your eyes open. I've already designated all my empty wrapping paper tubes for some flamable goodness. It's never too early to start planning for the playa.
