well...
i left a message on the general mailbox at brc... and hopefully someone will address this.
as for chikin.. he had some other good points.
and its surprising that some very well educated, reasonable people in sf have considered these fuckers as useful to their own personal development.

hi spectab.....
this quote from another thread about the Landmark Freaks targeting Burners, from Tribe:
"yeah the modern evolution of EST from the 70s.
certainly has in my mind NOTHING to do with being a burner.
similar to scientology, these people prey on people's lack of self-worth to perpetuate a "learning process" surrounded by large fees; members get caught up in "volunteering" and "training" when in fact all they are doing is working for free to help landmark recruit more people to pay $700 to go to their weekend power-brainwash seminars, to learn how to be happy little recruiters themselves. biggest scam ive ever seen, and so many people think they are learning things they wouldnt learn anywhere else. "

when you intend to work with humanity at large, having an understanding of mass consciousness and how it can be guided/molded is essential...
if you work with sheep, get a sheep dog
not that everyone's sheep...
just a disproportionate cross-section seems to be stuck in this mentality

whether they removed it, or the new flagging system tribe has adopted took care of it, it has been replaced by a questioning shadow

the tribe isn't publishing the image of the man today... wahoo! fuckers.
can't begin to tell you that since i've opened this topic on a few forums here and on tribe.net, A LOT of people have come forward with their personal experiences... none of them positive.

That was fast action... Maybe they are monitoring this board... Most or all of the members of that tribe are from Seattle... I don't know everyone but I do know a lot of Seattle Burners and I didn't recognize them... Any other Seattle folks know the members?

Nothing makes me more angry than these type of orgs, scientology, EST, religious zealots-- they can all go to hell.
They want your money to sell you their "secret", and the secret is that there is no secret.
They ruin peoples desire to know themselves and be happy.
It's like a rape.

This is a discussion?
Sounds exactly like the O'Reilly Factor to me, except with non-progressive conservative Burner thinkers wallowing in their fear, with anecdotal stories of friends and INTENSE research on the web.... haven't heard one personal experience except with EST which was long ago. Does the fact that people who were in EST started Landmark make Landmark a carbon copy of EST? I doubt it....yet that comparison has been made frequently in this so-called discussion.
Finally, Chai Guy puts real thought and great humor into a post that took more than fifteen seconds of knee jerk reaction, and he's scolded.
Speaking of anecdotal factoids, I was in a non-drug non-drinking camp of 40 people and two of the nicest most un-selfish people I met in 7 years of burns had done Landmark training. They didn't recruit. Am I on topic yet?

hello
you have only skimmed this topic. there are at least two personal experiences written about.
and the o'reilly factor? that is very ignorant of you.
as for the larry harvey 'humor' as you put it. its tired. put it to bed in another topic.
ok then, here is an OPEN CALL to others to post their EST and LANDMARK experiences.

Very, very vague statement that is meaningless.Jungfraueigerbane wrote:i experienced trained minds working to train other minds for the benefit of all minds
Trained minds, first instance. Trained in what? Academically? What teachings? What on the job experience? What accreditation?
Working to train minds to do what? What training is imparted? What independant studies have shown this training to be effective at whatever it is supposed to do?
To the benefit of all minds? You're kidding, right? Specifically name the benefits and explain how this benefit can directly affect all of humanity.
This is the meaningless drivel used to describe non proven psuedo-science. I can point to many research results on group therapy and other psychological methods. Show me independant research on whatever it is you're trying to say.
