This is really turning into a pile of bs. Especially when the discussions move from ripping ideas and starts ripping on people, both in public and especially in private.

Since I'm standing on the soapbox I admit I drifted the thread and I apologized for it. But now this is getting to be ridiculous. Has anyone stopped and thought that maybe Cowgirl has a personal interest in this, maybe she's had a family member or someone involved with this and she wants to sound the warning to keep others from doing the same? The least we can do is hear her out and respect what she has to say. Some may not agree with it...but next time it could be you putting out a message we don't agree with....do you want to be treated like this? I seriously doubt it.

I'll get off my soapbox but as I said before I liked The Fire Elf's posts. This new character IMHO sucks.

fyi: unless i can follow this closely over a period of time, i have a hard time distinguishing an instigator from those reacting to one.

This is a pretty tolerant group. But tolerance stops when things move from attacking ideas to attacking people, or when the posts get too cryptic to follow.

Right now you're hanging between having credibility or losing it. If you bolt and hide from this mess any crediblity you have will be shot. Before doing anything I'll pass along advice others on this same board gave me. Step back, cool off, think it out, then repost. Or type up something and then hit delete instead of post and then retype it again without all the frustration behind it.

Anything with religious overtones behind it has a built in lightning attractor with it...so getting hit is part of it. I think you simply need to adjust your approach and try again. You said it was an experiment, right? If so you can't give up on the first failure.

Stepping back from everything in the thread so far I went back to Page 1 and checked out some of those links. I've also spent quite a bit of time lately going through their website from the front page all the way to the media kit, cross referencing quotes from the media kit for accuracy and more. Until this thread appeared I'd never heard of EST or Landmark. Now that I've dug into it I find it has some interesting parallels to a couple of churches I know about...churches with leaders and intercessors and planted program participants...in short this is some creepy stuff.

I've come away thinking that anyone warning about this group is definitely on the right track. And if anyone has other links they could share and not the typical Google stuff I'm curious what else is out there to know.

My Ex took me to one of these cult meetings where they tell you for about $250.00 you can achieve shit like long term relationships and such- I guess it didn't work for her since I was pissed and she dumped me after 5 months anyway. Fuck Landmark! It was like being trapped in a room full of happy robots or corpses depending on how morbid you are.
