There's a little bit of jadedness that's boiling up from looking at the BMHQ side of the house and how things are being run. From the handling of the Russian Sock Puppet problem on here to the BMHQ calling for volunteers to clean up the holiday decorations in the office, I'm seeing one huge clusterfuck. It's frustrating and even more so when you can't do much about it.

I'm doing some serious rethinking of why I go to the desert to begin with and looking at everything really. Changes have gotta be made...with myself and in other areas....
I better shut up now but I think my point was made.

Morning, Fishie >Smooch<, BC, Wild...

Rum and coke sounds good, tho after 3 days of sleep deprivation it may knock me out...

Scrabble?? Oooh... I *can* spell, and can be viscious as well. What do you mean Xyxxys isn't a word???

Know what I'm realizing about the whole thing K4 mentioned? (1) I have too many expectations, I should just let it ride, and (2) what I go to BRC for isn't the org, or the baord... it's a selfish thing. My chance to go camp in a desert with a buncha friends.

None of the other stuff really matters. Sure, it's fun, all the infrastructure stuff... but I see how I can get caught up in the politics of the whole thing, just like I did years ago with the Renfaire (and got really burned out and disgusted then, too)...

SO yeah. I'll go for the dust, and stay for the burn.

(Lifting the 151 & Coke into the air...)

L' acheim...

The politics stuff is hidious. HOw come none of those twits who want to do BM surveys ever do a longitudinal study on volenteer burnout leading to extreame disgruntlement? They could cross reference with churches and the Red Cross and might get some very interesting results. If they have to get their favorite subject in, they can study if sexual relations ease or increase tensions.

I was using the self-service bartend-o-matic... It's at the far end of the Automat, next to "entrees"...

Image

It's working good - ordered a rum & coke, got a double 151, and the Coke's Mexican...

Doesn't get much better than that!

Don't Panic, you need to go back to that thread and look at Zulegoona's post. This is the new bar, the Apokiliptika version with the secret bunker. It's got more listening devices and cams than the old US Embassy in Moscow had before they tore it down and started over.

Any thoughts you had of privacy here are just that. Thoughts. And if the embedded monitoring devices don't get ya they always have the Apokiliptika Doomstar to cover any gaps.

So drink up or do whatever and smile really nice and purty for the webcams.

I don't fear Apokiliptika but I have a healthy level of respect for 'em.

And does this bar have a bottle of Midori around somewhere? Hmmm...I wonder what all's back there? Time to go look.

Post Holiday I suppose.
Short days and all.
I`d hate to lose K4.
He does some intelligent posts, and...
He`s good for at least a couple
dramatic confrontations a month.

I suppose if he goes, everyone will pick on me next.
Shit.

Do I need more coffee or booze?

It looks like someone's got the phonetic alphabet down cold. So where did the interest in the Rainbow Warrior stuff get started?

Tiptoes in. Putters behind bar. Coffee pot, water, coffee. All set. Puts out the cream and sugar, plate of doughnuts. Here ya go folks. Good morning. Tosses a blanket over dozing K-IV on the sofa. Gee, he was here late. Tiptoes out.
