Damn, I'm just about finished with the first map of this huge complex and someone goes off and proposes another expansion! So much for finishing that work. And if you're putting in a pool please put in a good hot tub too.

And about that dance floor, someone might wanna contact the Sol System people and see if they can setup that surround sound system they had back in 2004 that blew people's minds. I didn't know outside sound could be that good.

cock walks in ruffled, pours a triple scotch rocks, drains it, tops off again, plops onto the couch.
drinks half.
drinks the other half.
gets up refills, sees the leftover veggies and dip from 3 days ago, eats some

I should have just stayed in the bar.

Good old Platte Valley Whiskey. Notice the name cast into the bottle, McCormick? That's from Weston, MO which is located not far from where I live. I've toured the distillery and have several of those stoneware jugs sitting on the bar right beside me.

You want perfect typing while I'm drinking Patron? C'mon already...
No shit, I've fallen for the Patron bigtime. I was, and always will be, a world-class smothead, but lately...

Frankly, it's more than a little disturbing. There's some family history to consider, if'n you catch my drift, but I figure a few nights in a row isn't a felony. I'll just have to keep an eye on it...

I've felt the need to drink lately like nobody's business. I wonder where the heck that comes from? Hangovers have always been self-correcting, as I'd go months, m-o-n-t-h-s, between drinks, but as I alluded earlier, this is three in a row for me.

Fuckit. I'm pouring another double-shot (with a real healthy squeeze of lime, thank you).

How's the movie? Hookah's ready...

movie's a great mini-fix of the playa. fun to recognize folks from camp! pretty nice take on the event, too. gets more into the art side of things. great footage and interviews with David Best.

nice blend in the hookah! is that lavendar?

i'll stick to the whiskey and beer. and i totally relate to your row and yer worries. i've been quite tame, actually, since my surgeries. my body just doesn't want to imbibe so much. but i've been on, um...benders, is that what they call em? and yes - it's worriesome. just as soon as you catch yourself thinking, "i can stop anytime i want!", do that. just for a while. see how it feels.

Lavender? Puh-leaze... That's one-hundred percent pure B.C. It is kinda fragrant though, isn't it?

Yeah, when the bottle's gone, I'll be drying out fo' while. Such is life. I'll tell you what, if my source would get his act together I wouldn't have to resort to something as coarse as alcohol in the first place.

Not to change the subject, but you ARE going out to the desert this year, right?

You took the words right out of my mouth. (I think you got my chewing gum, too!)

Let's go dancing to the oontz-oontz-oontz some night! Pretty please? I'll bring the Patron and we'll dance til we can't dance no more. I'll be gentlemanly and everything, pawing you only occasionally. I promise, Black Rock Scout's honor!

i am sitting here seething about my upcoming evaluation.

i believe a 10K bonus might calm me down... anything less is going to piss me off.

not unlike most days.

i have no illusions... there isn't a 10K bonus... hell, i might have irritated my boss so much yesterday, i might have lost my bonus.

Boss says "How did 2005 go for you?"

I said "It sucked" and then went into detail.
