I'm a half block from State Street downtown as we speak - headed over to Paseo in a minute to score some lunch. I LOVE this town, but the playa is my home.
Hmmm - surprize me, after all, we've already been pppppppppp'd on today.

Make that two shot glasses, Mozy. Thanks. Went to donate blood today. They took my blood pressure and looked at me like I was deadman walking. Only virtual alcohol until I see the doc on Wednesday. Cheers!

hey i got a problem here...
i live in new jerseyvery green and leafy...now my first two years on the playa were magical...something about the desert was captivating...well i spent the last six months in arizona in halfway house and jails and it SUCKED and im afraid it might have soured my feelings for the desert...already ive lost that 'alien' feeling that used to envelop me when i thought about the playa...
anyone care?

Ahhh.. delicious.
Yikes, Bin... you may be very lucky they caught it and you didn't get the news about high blood pressure the hard way.
Virtual alcohol usually for me too. I had stomach surgery last year and since then I'm the cheapest drunk on the planet.

Noooooooooooo.... Don't let it happen!!!
What's happened is this little thing called burn out - somehow, some way, you've let the politics, pressure, and pessimism ploink your purveyance of the Playa from something peaceful and powerful and positive to something polluted and political and pukey - you need to flush the feelings of fate and find the factor for which you'll fan the flame of fantasia and fling the fucking forbodeance far, far away.
Stop. Breathe. Blink. Shake your head. And try like all hell to discard not only your preconceptions but the whole experience that BRC is. If you can look at it through the eyes of a child, you will awaken to a new sunset. If you stay rooted in the same old shit, it will get dull and boring, become a chore rather than an adventure, and you will become miserable.
